   #1. This week's number one is an international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group, currently plays in Italy). He led Lottomatica Roma to a 2-point victory against the 13th-ranked Sutor Montegranaro (4-11) 86-84 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game. Lorant scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 31 minutes on the court. Acea Virtus Roma (10-5) is placed fifth in the SerieA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This year Lorant averages: 4.3ppg, 3.2rpg, 3FGP: 41.7% and FT: 92.3% in the 15 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Hungarian senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international shooting guard Adam Hanga (200-89, agency: TSS Management, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. Hanga could not help Assignia Manresa (2-15) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance the bottom-ranked Assignia Manresa was defeated in an overtime 101-95 on the road by the second-ranked Caja Laboral. Hanga scored 12 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, passed 3 assists and added 3 blocks. Hanga's overall stats this season are: 9.6ppg, 3.9rpg, 1.9apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 40.9%, 3FGP: 31.7% and FT: 71.2%. He is in the roster of the Hungarian senior national team.

Obie Trotter

   #3. The Hungarian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Obie Trotter (188-84, agency: Court Side, college: Alabama A&M, currently plays in VTB United League). Trotter contributed to a 1-point BC Nizhny Novgorod's victory against the tenth-ranked Tsmoki-Minsk (0-11) 55-54 in the VTB United League on Sunday night. He scored 9 points and added 4 assists in 31 minutes. BC Nizhny Novgorod (6-5) is placed fifth in group B. Trotter is currently sixth on the league's list of best passers with 4.4apg. This year his other stats are: 8.8ppg, 4.0rpg, 2FGP: 51.2%, 3FGP: 30.6% and FT: 72.2% in the 10 games. Trotter is a naturalized American. He is also a member of the Hungarian senior national team. Trotter used to play for Szolnoki Olajbanyasz in Hungarian league.

   #4. Center Gergely Somogyi (216-89, college: UCSB, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Leyma Basquet (6-8) in their game against Planasa NV (7-7) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). He scored 6 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and made 3 blocks. Leyma Basquet was defeated 74-70 in Pamplona by the higher-ranked Planasa NV (#6). It was Leyma Basquet's third consecutive loss in a row. It's Somogyi's first season with the team. Somogyi's overall stats this year are: 3.0ppg, 4.0rpg and 2.0bpg. He is also Hungarian national team player.


The list of other players, who all have Hungarian passport but never been selected to any of Hungarian national teams:

   #1. Attila Kovacs (203-F-85, currently plays in Denmark), who plays in the Danish Ligaen could not help Horsholm (8-6) in their last game. Despite Kovacs' good performance Horsholm lost 77-85 at home to the leading Svendborg. He recorded 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 30 minutes. It was Horsholm's first loss after four consecutive victories. Kovacs has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.1ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.4apg in the 17 games he played so far.

   #2. Rosco Allen (206-F, currently plays college basketball in the States) was not able to help the Stanford (1-3) in their game against the The University of Washington (4-0) in the NCAA. Allen scored 8 points. The Stanford was defeated 65-60 on their home court in Stanford, CA by the The University of Washington. This season Allen has very high stats. He averages: 15.1ppg, 5.1rpg and 1.4apg.

The management of EGIS Kormend just published some minutes ago, that they agreed with rookie guard, Marquis Wright(185-G-95) for the coming season. The 183 cm tall playmaker graduated on the University of Siena and played four seasons with the Saints in the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Ahtletic Conference). As a sophomore he already was a key player of his team averaging 12.5 points, 5.1 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals. Egis Kormend (A Division) agreed terms with 25-year old American guard Andre Hollins (186-91kg-92, college: Minnesota, agency: Three Eye Sports). He played last season at Basketball Loewen Braunschweig in German BBL league. In four games he had 3.8ppg, 1.3rpg and 1.5apg. Hollins also played that season for Chorale de Roanne in French ProB where in 23 games he recorded 11.5ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.3apg and 1.2spg. His team won French ProB Leaders Cup. Sopron KC (A Division) signed 33-year old Slovenian international power forward Sasa Zagorac (206-107kg-84, agency: PEPI SPORT). He played last season at Parma in Russian league. Zagorac managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 11 VTB United League games he had 10.5ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.5apg and 1.0spg.
