Cegledi EKK (#8) forced the game against Atomeromu (#7) into an overtime, but lost by five points 86-91 on Sunday night. The game took place in Cegled. But the guests from Szekszard were better at the end. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Cegledi EKK. It was a good game for Iva Roglic who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Atomeromu's coach Gergely Magyar used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Atomeromu maintains seventh position with 7-11 record. Cegledi EKK at the other side keeps the eighth place with 13 games lost.

Bacsbasket - MBK Eurl.Vasas 72-53

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Bacsbasket (10-8) crushed bottom-ranked MBK Eurl.Vasas (1-17) in Baja 72-53 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Bacsbasket. MBK Eurl.Vasas was better in third quarter 12-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bacsbasket dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to MBK Eurl.Vasas' 26. Bacsbasket forced 24 MBK Eurl.Vasas turnovers. It was a good game for Latvian center Aija Brumermane (191-86, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who led her team to a victory with 11 points and 5 rebounds. The former international guard Dalma Ivanyi (178-76, college: FIU) contributed with 11 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Bacsbasket players scored in double figures. Power forward Judit Barnai (190-94) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and Sz Katona added 7 points in the effort for MBK Eurl.Vasas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bacsbasket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with ZTE NKK and DKSK. MBK Eurl.Vasas lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games.

Cegledi EKK was tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They were eventually defeated in overtime 8-13s. Atomeromu shot 38 for 52 from the free-throw line, while Cegledi EKK only scored twenty two points from the stripe. They outrebounded Cegledi EKK 48-28 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cegledi EKK was plagued by 38 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Serbian Iva Roglic (189-88) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). International Reka Balint (182-91) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Atomeromu's coach Gergely Magyar used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. This time PEAC-PECS used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Miskolc 87-70 on Sunday night. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-70. PEAC-PECS made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American center Amy Jaeschke (196-89, college: Northwestern) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. Rather predictable result when sixth ranked ZTE NKK (10-8) rolled over 9th ranked BSE-FCSM (4-14) in Zalaegerszeg 83-62 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-62. ZTE NKK made 19-of-19 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. It was a good game for international guard Timea Czank (176-86, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who led her team to a victory with 17 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Anna Vida (184-85, agency: TSS Management) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five ZTE NKK players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Andrea Karolyi (183-75) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and guard Viktoria Orso (176-86) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for BSE-FCSM. MKB Euroleasing have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-0 record. Defending champion UNI Gyor keeps the second place with four games lost.

Aluinvent DVTK Miskolc (A Division) landed 26-year old American guard Tierra Ruffin-Pratt (178-91, college: N.Carolina). She played in the summer at Washington Mystics (WNBA). Ruffin-Pratt managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 32 WNBA games she averaged 7.3ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.6apg and 1.0spg.
