Szolnoki celebrated a rare Adriatic League win this season. They upset Split in Croatia to improve at 5-14 record. James Florence (185-G-88, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Mercer) was pivotal for the Hungarian side scoring 24 points.
The Hungarian team stated their ambitions in the first term scoring 27 points and earning a 2-point lead. Split adjusted defensively in the second period. The Croats limited Szolnoki to just 12 points in the quarter to surge ahead for a 40:39 halftime lead. But the visitors regained the advantage in the third period. Szolnoki pulled ahead for a narrow 56:54 advantage with one quarter remaining. Szolnoki went on a 6:1 run late in regulation to make it 68:60. They hung on to the lead in the dying seconds to clinch victory. Rashad Bell (201-F-82, college: Boston U.) delivered 14 points, while Marton Bader (212-C-80, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed 9 points for the Hungarian team. Ivan Mimica (190-G-80) answered with 18 points for Split. Vedran Vukusic (206-F-82, college: Northwestern) and Nikola Vujcic (211-C-78) chipped in 8 points each for the hosts.

Alba - Atomeromu 96-68 Alba cruised past Atomeromu to take 2-1 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Alba. Atomeromu was better in second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Atomeromu's 36. 21 year old forward, Szilard Benke (196-F-95) will leave his hometown of Kaposvar and will join Zalakeramia-ZTE KK from next season. The 6"5" (196 cm) player reached an agreement with Zalakeramia-ZTE KK last week. The young Hungarian forward is one of the most talented Hungarian players in his age group. He had a breakout year this year in the Hungarian top division finishing the season with an average of 10.4ppg, 3.1rpg, 1apg, 0.8spg and 0.4bpg. Kormend - Szolnok 73-80 Szolnok evened the semifinal series versus Kormend at 1-1. They bounced from the home loss in the opener beating Kormend away from home in Game 2.
