Anna Vadja joins Rivas Ecopolis - Feb 11, 2013

Rivas Ecopolis (LFB) agreed terms with 29-year old Hungarian ex-international power forward Anna Vadja (191-84, agency: Josep and Nicolas). She started the season at Samsun Basketbol in Turkish TKBL. In 14 games this season she had 10.8ppg, 7.6rpg and 1.9apg. The last season Vadja played at Perfumerias Avenida. In 44 LFB games last year she recorded 4.3ppg and 3.6rpg. She helped them to win the cup and make to league final.
The previous (10-11) season Vadja played at USK Praha (ZBL) in Czech Republic league. In 16 games that season she recorded 6.6ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.2apg and 1.3spg. She contributed to her team winning the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. Vadja also played 3 games in Euroleague where she recorded 5.0ppg, 5.0rpg, 1.3apg and 2.0spg. She also played at Fenerbahce (TKBL) in Turkey earlier that season. In 7 games that year she recorded 7.3ppg, 3.4rpg and 1.1apg. Vadja also played 6 games in Euroleague where she recorded just 2.7ppg and 2.0rpg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Hungarian League Forward of the Year back in 2010.
Vadja was also a member of Hungarian international program for some years. She played for Hungarian Senior National Team between 2003 and 2012 and previously for U20 National Team in 2004. Vadja represented Hungary at the Qualifications to European Championships 2013 last year. Her stats at that event were 8 games: 6.1ppg, 6.5rpg, 1.6apg, 1.4spg, FGP: 34.6%, 3PT: 26.3%, FT: 64.0%.
Vadja has played also professionally for other Hungarian teams like MKB Euroleasing and Pecs 2010.
