Zeljko
Zagorac
Slovenian forward Zeljko Zagorac (204-F-81) had a very impressive game in the last round for Falco-Szova, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds, while his team edged out Marso NYKK (#11, 7-13) 77-75. Falco-Szova is placed at 6th position in Hungarian A Division. Falco-Szova is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-10 record. In the team's last game Zagorac had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Falco-Szova, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Zeljko Zagorac averages this season 20.7ppg and 13.5rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 23-year old American Anthony Nelson (185-G-89) of Marso NYKK. Nelson had a very good evening with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Marso NYKK was edged by the higher-ranked Falco-Szova (#6, 10-10) 77-75. Marso NYKK is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-13 record. Nelson is a newcomer at Marso NYKK, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.1ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 5.8rpg and 5.2apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was Bosnia and Herzegovina center Teo Simovic (205-C-84) of ZTE KK (#10). Simovic scored 24 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Simovic's great performance ZTE KK lost 71-83 to the higher-ranked Kaposvari (#3, 14-6). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of ZTE KK ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Simovic could help ZTE KK to bring them higher in the standings. Simovic has a great season in Hungary. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.8rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Christopher Dunn (189-PG-83) of Kaposvari - 28 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Zsolt Szabo (202-F-86) of Albacomp - 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Lorenzo Williams (189-PG-84) of Atomeromu - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists
7. Milos Markovic (201-G/F-84) of Jaszberenyi - 17 points and 11 rebounds
8. Rastko Dramicanin (207-C-86) of Jaszberenyi - 14 points and 16 rebounds
9. Filip Barovic (208-F/C-90) of Soproni - 12 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Brandon Wood (187-G-89) of Albacomp - 22 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
