Savo Djikanovic (ex Teodo Tivat) is a newcomer at Jaszberenyi - Feb 26, 2013

TOP COP Security Jaszbereny (A Division) strengthened their roster with addition of 38-year old Montenegrin center Savo Djikanovic (211-75, agency: Beo Basket). He started the season at Teodo Tivat in Montenegrin 1A league. In 14 1A games he recorded 13.6ppg, 9.4rpg and 1.6apg this season. Djikanovic also played 9 games in Balkan League where he averaged impressive 15.2ppg, 6.6rpg, 2.2apg and 1.6spg. He ended the last season at Etha (Division A) in Cypriot league. He helped them to win the league title. But the most of that year Djikanovic spent at Marousi BC (A1) in Greek league. In two games he averaged 4.0ppg and 4.0rpg.
Djikanovic ended the previous (10-11) season at Ikaros (A1) in Greek league. But in 7 games he averaged just 1.3ppg and 2.0rpg. But the most of that year he spent at Achilleas (Division A) in Cypriot league. In 12 games he averaged 14.8ppg, 10.3rpg (leader !!!) and 1.3apg.
Among other achievements Djikanovic received Eurobasket.com Bosnia and Herzegovina League All-Domestic Players Team award back in 2010.
He has played also professionally in Greece (Olympiacos, Gymnastikos Olympia Larissas and Trikalla), Serbia (Vrsac) and Bosnia (Igokea).
Djikanovic is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Jaszberenyi.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Very movable player. Good shot for the free throw distance. Great blocker.

KTE-Duna Aszfalt (A Division) strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old American guard Rod Camphor (191-94kg-92, college: SW Oklahoma State). He played most recently at Bayer Giants in German ProA. In 16 games he recorded very impressive stats: 15.5ppg, 3.1rpg, 4.1apg and 1.3spg last season.
