The Regular Season in A Division just ended.

The most important game in the last round took place in Kormend between second ranked Atomeromu (16-6) and seventh ranked Kormend (11-11) on Saturday night. Atomeromu was defeated by Kormend in a tough game on the road 85-94. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Atomeromu. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Atomeromu won third quarter 27-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kyle Austin (203-88, college: Cal-Riverside) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Csaba Ferencz (195-85, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Kormend's coach Tamas Hencsey used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International swingman David Vojvoda (196-90, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) replied with 23 points for Atomeromu. Kormend have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Soproni and Falco-Szova. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Kaposvari (15-7) against fourth ranked Jaszberenyi (14-8) on Saturday night. Host Kaposvari was defeated by Jaszberenyi in a tough game in Kaposvar 79-84. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kaposvari. Serbian guard Miljan Rakic (195-86, agency: BeoExcell) scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Rastko Dramicanin chipped in 24 points during the contest. At the losing side Serbian power forward Marko Spica (205-86, college: Cent.Michigan) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Jaszberenyi have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 14-8 record. Kaposvari at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost.
A Division top team - Albacomp (17-5) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Falco-Szova (11-11) in Szombathely 77-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Falco-Szova. Akos Keller notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort. Albacomp's coach Branislav Dzunic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by Tamas Will did not help to save the game for Falco-Szova. Albacomp have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-5 record. Loser Falco-Szova keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Kormend and Soproni.
A very interesting game took place in Sopron. It ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Soproni (11-11) to tenth ranked ZTE KK (9-13) 72-71 on Saturday evening. Donald Copeland fired 27 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. ZTE KK moved-up to ninth place. Soproni lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost.
The game between 12th ranked FS Debrecen (2-20) and eleventh ranked Marso NYKK (8-14) in Debrecen on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Nyiregyhazi outscored FS Debrecen 71-40. It was a very good performance for Mate Mohacsi who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 rebounds. Marso NYKK's coach Tamas Ferenczi felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Marso NYKK moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Szedeak. FS Debrecen lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 20 games lost.

In the last game of round 22 PVSK Pannon beat Szedeak on the road 90-82.
The most impressive performance of 22th round was 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists by Brad Loesing of PVSK Pannon.



FS Debrecen - Marso NYKK 40-71

The game between 12th ranked FS Debrecen (2-20) and eleventh ranked Marso NYKK (8-14) in Debrecen on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Nyiregyhazi outscored FS Debrecen 71-40. The game without a history. Marso NYKK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding FS Debrecen to just 6 points in first quarter. It was a very good performance for forward Mate Mohacsi (192-90) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 rebounds. Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: KMG Sports Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Marso NYKK's coach Tamas Ferenczi felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Mate Medve (197-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and guard Andras Helmeczi (195-90, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for FS Debrecen. Marso NYKK moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Szedeak. FS Debrecen lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 20 games lost.

A Division top team - Albacomp (17-5) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Falco-Szova (11-11) in Szombathely 77-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Falco-Szova. Falco-Szova trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 14-8 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 72-77 at the end of the game. International power forward Akos Keller (208-89, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and American guard Brandon Wood (187-89, college: Michigan St., agency: N.E.T.) supported him with 14 points and 5 assists. Albacomp's coach Branislav Dzunic allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 21 points and 5 rebounds by swingman Tamas Will (196-87, agency: TSS Management) did not help to save the game for Falco-Szova. The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked PVSK Pannon's (10-12) road victory over 9th ranked Szedeak (8-14) in Szeged 90-82 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Szedeak won third quarter 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for PVSK Pannon especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Szedeak was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American guard Brad Loesing (182-89, college: Wofford) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The other American import guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. A very interesting game took place in Sopron. It ended with only one-point home defeat of higher ranked Soproni (11-11) to tenth ranked ZTE KK (9-13) 72-71 on Saturday evening. Soproni was ahead by 14 points after three quarters before a 25-10 charge of ZTE KK, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Soproni outrebounded ZTE KK 37-20 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. American-Puerto Rican point guard Donald Copeland (177-84, college: Seton Hall) fired 27 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Dorenzo Hudson (195-88, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds. Defending champion Fribourg Olympic (LNA) tabbed 26-year old American forward Travis Taylor (203-100kg-90, college: Xavier). He played most recently at Sopron KC in Hungarian A Division. Taylor managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 20 A Division games he averaged 11.4ppg, 8.1rpg, 1.9apg and 1.7spg.
