The most important game in the last round took place in Zalaegerszeg between second ranked ZTE KK (10-6) and fifth ranked Szolnok (10-6) on Thursday night. ZTE KK was defeated by Szolnok in a tough game at home 78-86. ZTE KK was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Szolnok made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian center Luksa Andric (208-85, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). International swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) contributed with 20 points and 6 assists for the winners. American-Puerto Rican point guard Emanuel Ubilla (188-86, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Court Side) replied with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals for ZTE KK. Szolnok have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated ZTE KK. Szolnok is looking forward to face league's second-placed Falco KC in Szombathely in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. ZTE KK will play on the road against Szedeak in Szeged and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kormend (10-6) against eighth ranked PVSK Pannon (9-7) on Wednesday night. Visiting Kormend was crushed by PVSK Pannon in Pecs 94-75. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Akos Halasz (183-91, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 assists and 6 steals and Oliver Biro who added 20 points during the contest. PVSK Pannon's coach Ferenc Csirke used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Lenzelle Smith Jr. (193-91, college: Ohio St.) responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. PVSK Pannon moved-up to seventh place. Kormend at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. PVSK Pannon will play against higher ranked Kaposvari (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kormend will play against KTE-Duna and hopes to get back on the winning track.
A Division top team - Alba (13-3) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked MAFC (3-13) in Szekesfehervar 101-75. The winners were led by Winston Shepard who scored that evening 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by Robbie Sihota did not help to save the game for MAFC. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alba maintains first position with 13-3 record. MAFC lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Vasas. Alba will meet at home Sopron KC (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MAFC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Budapest Vasas.

Other games in round 16 were not that significant. Falco KC beat Vasas on the road 84-80. Jaszberenyi lost to Kaposvari on its own court 90-94. Szedeak was outscored by KTE-Duna in Kecskemet 61-82. Atomeromu recorded a loss to Sopron KC at home 72-78.

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Falco KC (10-6) beat bottom-ranked Vasas (3-13) in Budapest 84-80 on Thursday. Vasas were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who scored that evening 24 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) supported him with 16 points. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by forward A.J. Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) did not help to save the game for Vasas. Point guard Ronnie Taylor (187-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Octagon Europe) added 18 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to MAFC's 36. Alba forced 20 MAFC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. There was a small surprise when tenth ranked KTE-Duna (8-8) rolled over 7th ranked Szedeak (8-8) in Kecskemet 82-61 on Wednesday. The game without a history. KTE-Duna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Szedeak's 30 and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Szedeak 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. KTE-Duna looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) who scored that evening 21 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian swingman Marko Djerasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) supported him with 23 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Four KTE-Duna players scored in double figures. KTE-Duna's coach Gabor Forray felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest.
