Peter Lorant
The Regular Season in A Division is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 5 rounds. The round 21 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results.

Leader Alba delivered the eighteenth win on Tuesday night. This time they crushed 13th ranked Vasas (4-17) 106-59 in Budapest. The game without a history. Alba led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vasas' 34. Alba forced 23 Vasas turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Vasas' players. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 15 points and 9 assists. Canadian guard Justin Edwards (190-92, college: Kansas St.) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward AJ Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alba (18-3) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place. Vasas lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the thirteenth position with 17 games lost. Alba are looking forward to face Szolnok (#6) in Szolnok in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Vasas will play at home against Kaposvari (#4) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Paks, where higher ranked Szolnok (13-8) lost to twelfth ranked Atomeromu (7-14) in a road game 73-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Szolnok. It was a good game for American point guard Talor Battle (182-88, college: Penn St., agency: Two Points) who led his team to a victory with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Akos Kovacs contributed with 22 points and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Montenegrin Nikola Pavlicevic (192-88) answered with 20 points and 5 assists for Szolnok. Szolnok's coach Zoran Kmezics rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Atomeromu moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Jaszberenyi. Defending champion Szolnok dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with ZTE KK and Kaposvari. Atomeromu will play against higher ranked Szedeak (#8) in Szeged in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
