Akos Kovacs
Akos Kovacs (183-G-88, agency: HMS) had an amazing evening in the last round for Atomeromu and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 28-year old guard had the game-high 22 points adding seven assists for Atomeromu in his team's victory, helping them to beat Szolnok (#6, 13-8) 82-73. Atomeromu maintains the 12th position in Hungarian A Division. Atomeromu is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-14 record. In the team's last game Kovacs had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Atomeromu, through which he has constantly improved. Akos Kovacs averages this season 8.5ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American forward Malik Cooke (201-F-89, agency: Inception Sports) of Kaposvari. Cooke impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Kaposvari lost that game 75-84 to ZTE KK (13-8). Kaposvari managed to keep the same 4th spot in the standings. His team's 13-8 record is not bad at all. Cooke is a newcomer at Kaposvari and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Lithuanian Adomas Drungilas (203-C-90) of ZTE KK (#5). Drungilas scored 22 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of ZTE KK, leading his team to a 84-75 win against Kaposvari (13-8). ZTE KK needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 8 lost games. Drungilas has a great season in Hungary. After 20 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.5rpg (9th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tomislav Ivosev (204-F-90) of KTE-Duna - 17 points and 6 rebounds
5. Marko Boltic (193-G-87) of Szedeak - 17 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Ismet Sejfic (208-C-93) of PVSK Pannon - 21 points and 12 rebounds
7. Roland Hendlein (206-F/C-86) of Kaposvari - 24 points and 7 rebounds
8. Peter Lorant (206-F/C-85) of Alba - 15 points, 3 rebounds and 9 assists
9. Nenad Sulovic (202-C-85) of Szedeak - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Veljko Budimir (199-F-85) of PVSK Pannon - 27 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
