The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute surprises and upsets.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Alba (18-4) on the court of sixth ranked Szolnok on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Szolnok 90-76. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Alba. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 53-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Alba 43-28 including 33 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of international swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. American forward Troy Barnies (200-89, college: Maine) contributed with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian guard Justin Edwards (190-92, college: Kansas St.) replied with 22 points and 4 assists for Alba. Defending champion (14-8) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kaposvari. Alba at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. Szolnok is looking forward to face Vasas (#13) in Budapest in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alba will play at home against Szedeak (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
The game between second ranked Kormend (16-6) and 11th ranked Jaszberenyi (7-15) in Kormend ended with biggest points difference. Kormend outscored guests from Jaszberenyi 98-66. American-Liberian guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) scored 31 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Terry Allen chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Kormend's coach Gasper Potocnik felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Serbian Andrija Bojic (207-93, agency: BeoBasket) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Kormend have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-6 record having just two points less than leader Alba. Jaszberenyi lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Atomeromu. Kormend will play against Atomeromu (#12) in Paks in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jaszberenyi will play on the road against PVSK Pannon in Pecs and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Other games in round 22 were not that significant. ZTE KK was beaten by Falco KC on the road 86-73. Vasas lost to Kaposvari on its own court 82-89. Atomeromu unfortunately lost to Szedeak in Szeged 70-84. Sopron KC managed to beat PVSK Pannon at home 81-71. KTE-Duna defeated MAFC on the opponent's court 92-81.
The most impressive performance of 22th round was 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists by Darrin Govens of Falco KC.

Falco KC - ZTE KK 86-73

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Falco KC (16-7) beat 5th ranked ZTE KK (13-9) in Szombathely 86-73. The game was mostly controlled by Falco KC. ZTE KK was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Falco KC players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) scored 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Benedek Varadi (195-95) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American guard Julian Norfleet (188-91, college: Mt.St.Mary's) responded with 21 points and 5 assists and forward Szilard Benke (196-95) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Falco KC have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-7 record having just one point less than leader Alba. ZTE KK at the other side dropped to the sixth place with nine games lost. Falco KC will play against Kaposvari (#4) on the road in the next round. ZTE KK will play against MAFC and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Very expected game when 13th ranked Vasas (4-18) lost to sixth ranked Kaposvari (14-8) in Budapest 82-89. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 3-point deficit before their 21-11 run, which allowed them to win the game. Kaposvari made 24-of-28 charity shots (85.7 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Malik Cooke (201-89, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Winsome Frazier (193-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: Interperformances) chipped in 21 points during the contest. At the losing side forward AJ Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and point guard Ronnie Taylor (187-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Octagon Europe) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 assists. Five Kaposvari and four Vasas players scored in double figures. Kaposvari moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Szolnok. Vasas lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Kaposvari will play against higher ranked Falco KC (#3) in Szombathely in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Vasas will play at home against Szolnok (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Szedeak (11-11) won against 12th ranked Atomeromu (7-15) in Szeged 84-70. Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (198-80) scored 29 points to lead the charge for the winners and Bulgarian Ivan Lilov (194-88, agency: Two Points) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Talor Battle (182-88, college: Penn St., agency: Two Points) responded with 17 points and guard Akos Kovacs (183-88, agency: HMS) scored 14 points. There was a minor upset when 7th ranked PVSK Pannon (12-10) lost on the road to ninth ranked Sopron KC (11-12) 81-71. It looked good early as PVSK Pannon took a 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Sopron KC had a 27-6 second period charge getting the lead and PVSK Pannon was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-81. Sopron KC dominated on the defensive end, holding PVSK Pannon to just 6 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to PVSK Pannon's 18. PVSK Pannon was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Naturalized Serbian center Marko Spica (205-86, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Julien Mills (193-85, college: Ball St., agency: HMS) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Tsmoki-Minsk (Premier League) tabbed 26-year old American guard Devon Saddler (183-95kg-91, college: Delaware). He played most recently at JP-Auto Jaszbereny KSE in Hungarian A Division.
