  follow us on Facebook Twitter

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Hungarians who are currently playing abroad.

Adam Hanga
Adam Hanga
#1. This week's number one is an international small forward Adam Hanga (199-89, agency: Octagon Europe, currently plays in Spain). He could not help Baskonia (16-7) in their last game. Despite Hanga's good performance Baskonia lost 82-87 on the road to the league outsider (#17) La ICL Manresa. He was the second best scorer with 11 points in 25 minutes on the court. It was Baskonia's first loss after four consecutive victories. Hanga has relatively good stats this year: 11.8ppg, 4.2rpg, 2.7apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 56.1%(60-107), 3FGP: 33.8% and FT: 74.2% in 21 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Hungarian senior national team.

Jarrod Jones
Jarrod Jones
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St., currently plays in Italy). Jones was not able to help one of league's weakest teams VL Pesaro (7-15) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his very good performance VL Pesaro was defeated 93-78 in Varese by the higher-ranked Openjobmetis VA (#14). Jones recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 10 rebounds. It's Jones' first season with the team. He has individually a very good year with high stats. Jones averages: 19.4ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.7apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 53.1%, 3FGP: 26.4% and FT: 80.8%. He is a naturalized American. Jones is in the roster of the Hungarian senior national team. He used to play for Albacomp-UPC Szekesfehervar in Hungarian league.

Obadiah Trotter
Obadiah Trotter
#3. The Hungarian player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced former international point guard Obadiah Trotter (188-84, college: Alabama A&M, currently plays in Poland). Trotter was not able to secure a victory for Twarde Pierniki (16-8) in their game against AZS Koszalin (8-16) in the Polish PLK. He recorded 9 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and made 2 blocks in 28 minutes. But Twarde Pierniki was edged 82-80 in Koszalin by the much lower-ranked (#14) AZS Koszalin. It was Twarde Pierniki's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Trotter has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 3.4rpg, 3.5apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 53.7%, 3FGP: 29.3% and FT: 86.4% in 24 games. He is a naturalized American. Trotter played for the Hungarian national team four years ago. He used to play for Szolnoki Olajbanyasz in Hungarian league.

Gyorgy Goloman
Gyorgy Goloman
#4. Forward Gyorgy Goloman (211-96, currently plays college basketball in the States) managed to help Univ.of Los Angeles in a 2-point victory against the University of Southern California (10-8) 76-74 in a derby game in the NCAA last Thursday. Goloman scored only 2 points in 9 minutes on the court. The Univ.of Los Angeles have quite an impressive 15-3 conference record this season. His team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. And that game will be critical. This year Goloman's overall stats are: 3.9ppg and 2.5rpg in 30 games. He used to play for the Hungarian U18 national team back in 2013.

Zoltan Perl
Zoltan Perl
#5. He scored 14 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 4 assists in 29 minutes. 1. FC Kaiserslautern (10-13) is placed eighth in South-West group.
