The financial situation in Iceland is for sure showing in icelandic basketball. IR took the first step by releasing Tahirou Sani (205-F-85) and Chaz Carr (183-G-82, agency: Rasmussen Services, college: Boston U.) and since then other 6 teams have released all foreigners and some other have released one or two players.

Keflavik have signed the foreigner for the team for upcoming season. They signed guard/forward Jesse Pellot-Rosa (193-G-84, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Va Commonwealth) who played in Puerto Rico last season.
Pellot-Rosa is a 6'4" allaround and has already arrived in Keflavik, Iceland - played his first game last night against Thor Akureyri in Powerade cup scoring 14 pts and grabbing 7 rebounds in 17 minutes in a 100-81 win.

Jesse Pellot-Rosa played with B.A. Walker (188-G-84, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Va Commonwealth) in Va Commonwealth in NCAA - Walker played for Keflavik last season but has now signed for Rotterdam in Holland. He had great season for Keflavik, scoring 22 ppg along with 4,7 rpg and 4,5 apg.
Keflavik will play KR in semifinal in Powerade on friday night and in the other game of semi final it will be Snaefell and Grindavik who will play, after Snaefell beat Tindastoll by 25 and Grindavik beat Njardvik by 18.
