Giordan
Watson
26-year old guard Giordan Watson (178-G-85) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Grindavik and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had the game-high 40 points adding three rebounds and seven assists for Grindavik in his team's victory, helping them to beat Tindastoll (#9, 7-9) 105-96. It allowed Grindavik to consolidate first place in the Icelandic league. Grindavik has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 15-1. In the team's last game Watson had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Grindavik's top player in his first season with the team. Central Michigan University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Watson is league's best passer with 6.8apg. Watson is in league's top in and averages solid 55.6% FGP and 43.3% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Quincy Hankins-Cole (203-F-90) of Snaefell. He is American forward in his second season at Snaefell. In the last game Hankins-Cole recorded impressive double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he lead Snaefell to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked IR (#10, 6-10) 97-74. Despite this victory Snaefell slide down in the standings to 6th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-7 record is not bad and everything may still change. Hankins-Cole is well-known at Snaefell and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Justin Shouse (180-G-81) of Stjarnan (#4). Shouse scored 28 points and passed four assists. Despite Shouse's great performance Stjarnan lost 87-89 to #3 ranked KR. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Stjarnan needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 6 lost games. Shouse has a great season in Iceland. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.6apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jarryd Cole (200-F-88) of Keflavik - 22 points and 7 rebounds
5. Christopher Smith (198-F-82) of Haukar - 12 points and 19 rebounds
6. Curtis Allen (193-G-86) of Tindastoll - 23 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists

10. Finnur Magnusson (206-C) of KR - 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
