KR coach Hrafn Kristjansson has quit the club. KR have started their coaching search with only two and a half month to go before the start of the season. The club has stated that they will hire a coach before the end of July. Hrafn had coached KR for 2 seasons, winning the cup and national championship in 2011. KR finished the 2011-2012 season in 2nd place and were knocked out of the cup and playoffs in the semis.   

Dominos League Round 3: Grindavik loses to KR - 2 hours ago

It's still too early stage of the Regular Season in Dominos League, but even now we can clearly see the differece between stronger teams and outsiders. The biggest surprise of round 3 in Dominos League took place in Reykjavik where host KR (3-0) crushed Grindavik (2-1) 87-62 on Thursday evening. The game was mostly controlled by KR. American Guard Aaron Moss (185-G, agency: Duran International) had a great game in the last round for top-ranked Hottur, receiving a D1 Player of the Week award for round 4. The player recorded a triple-double of 23 points adding also 16 rebounds and 12 assists, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team IA (#9, 0-4) with 61-point margin 131-70. After 4 rounds played we can already see who rules in the D1 and who belongs to weaker ones. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Valur (2-1) in Reykjavik on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Fjolnir (3-1) 101-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Valur. It was a key game for the second position in the league.
