The captain of U.M.F. Grindavik, Pall Axel Vilbergsson (197-F/G-78) has decided to move from U.M.F. Grindavik to U.M.F. Skallagrimur Borganes for the upcoming season. Pall Axel Vilbergsson has been the captain for U.M.F. Grindavik and won the Icelandic championship this past season with the team. He came off the bench as the 6th man for U.M.F. Grindavik and vas a valuable member of the team.

U.M.F. Skallagrimur Borganes won promotion from the 1st division this past season and will be looking to stay in the Dominos league and adding the former national team player Pall Axel Vilbergsson should help them in that regard. This coming season will be U.M.F. Skallagrimur Borganes first in the top division since the 2008-2009 season, when they were relegated while only winning 2 games.

U.M.F. Grindavik has gone through some changes after winning the championship, as Giordan Watson (178-G-85, college: Cent.Michigan) and J'Nathan Bullock (196-F-87, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Cleveland St.) already left the team, Helgi Jonas Gudfinnsson resigned as coach and Ryan Pettinella (206-F/C-84, college: Cincinnati) is not expected to return. They have yet to sign their imports for the coming season.
