We bring you last week's top performances from Icelandic who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Hlynur Baeringsson
Hlynur Baeringsson
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82, currently plays in Sweden). He led Sundsvall Dragons to a 3-point victory against the sixth-ranked Solna Vikings (5-4) 85-82 in the Swedish Basketligan in Tuesday night's game. Baeringsson had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 10 rebounds in 36 minutes on the court. Sundsvall Dragons (7-2) is placed first in the Basketligan. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Baeringsson is currently second on the league's list of best rebounders with 9.6rpg. He also averaged so far 14.8ppg, 3.1apg, 2FGP: 60.3%(44-73), 3FGP: 38.5% in the nine games he played so far. Baeringsson is currently a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

Jakob Sigurdarson

#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern, currently plays in Sweden) is a teammate of previously mentioned Hlynur Baeringsson and both played together in the last Swedish Basketligan game. Sigurdarson was the major contributor in a 3-point Sundsvall Dragons' victory against the sixth-ranked Solna Vikings (5-4) 85-82. He scored 15 points and added 4 assists. It's Sigurdarson's fourth season with the team. Sigurdarson has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 17.1ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.5apg, 2FGP: 51.1%, 3FGP: 46.8%(22-47). Sigurdarson is in the roster of the Icelandic senior national team.

Jon Stefansson
Jon Stefansson

He contributed to an easy victory against the seventh-ranked Blusens Monbus (4-2) 76-58 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. Stefansson scored 9 points in 23 minutes. CAI Zaragoza (3-3) is placed 12th in the ACB. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Stefansson's overall stats are: 7.7ppg, 1.5rpg, 2FGP: 53.8%, 3FGP: 28.6% and FT: 75.0% in the six games. He is also a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

Pavel Ermolinskij
Pavel Ermolinskij
#4. Guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87, agency: I.D.S. Law, currently plays in Sweden) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked KFUM Jamtland (3-6) crushing them 87-65 in the Swedish Basketligan in Friday night's game. Ermolinskij scored 8 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 7 assists. Norrkoping Dolphins (6-0) is placed first in the Basketligan. So far his team won all six games in the Regular Season. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. It's Ermolinskij's first year with the team. He has relatively good stats this season: 11.2ppg, 5.9rpg, 4.1apg and 1.3spg. Ermolinskij is also Icelandic national team player.

Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson
Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson
#5. International point guard Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson (190-88, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a Mitteldeutscher BC's victory against the closely-ranked New Yorker Phantoms (2-5) 76-70 in the German BBL last Saturday. He recorded 9 points and added 3 assists in 22 minutes. Mitteldeutscher BC Weissenfels (2-6) is placed second from the bottom (#17) in the BBL. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. This year Vilhjalmsson's total stats are: 8.6ppg, 1.9rpg and 1.9apg in the eight games. He plays currently for the Icelandic national team.

Logi Gunnarsson

This season Gunnarsson has relatively solid stats: 11.6ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.6apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Icelandic National Team roster.

Haukur Palsson
Haukur Palsson
#7. Palsson cannot count it as his best performance. He scored only 3 points in 8 minutes on the court. Assignia Manresa was edged in an overtime 89-88 in San Sebastian by the higher-ranked (#16) Lagun Aro GBC. So far Assignia Manresa lost all six games in the Regular Season. One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Icelandic passport:

#1. Aske Thorsteinsson (185-SG-86, currently plays in Denmark), who plays in the Danish Ligaen could not help the league outsider Aalborg (0-9) to beat Naestved (5-5). Thorsteinsson cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points in 11 minutes. The bottom-ranked Aalborg lost 70-84 at home to the higher-ranked (#5) Naestved. So far Aalborg lost all nine games in the Regular Season. Thorsteinsson has been at the team for four years. This season Thorsteinsson averages just 2.9ppg in the seven games he played so far.
