The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Reykjavik: KR (#3) and Fjolnir (#8). KR (7-4) won against visiting Fjolnir (2-9) 64-56. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Patechia Hartman (170-83, college: Georgia St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Sigrun Amundadottir (181-88, agency: Promotex) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Britney Jones (172-87, college: UAB) produced 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. KR maintains third place with 7-4 record having four points less than leader Keflavik. Fjolnir at the other side stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. KR are looking forward to face Njardvik (#7) on the road in the next round. Fjolnir will play against Haukar in Hafnarfjordur and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Undefeated leader Keflavik delivered the eleventh consecutive victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Njardvik (3-8) 84-54. Forward Sara Run Hinriksdottir (165-96) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Birna Valgardsdottir contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson, agency: Merit Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 19 rebounds for Njardvik. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Keflavik (11-0) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 11 victories in a row. Njardvik lost third consecutive game. Defending champion dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with Grindavik. Keflavik will play against league's second-placed Snaefell in Stykkisholmur in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Njardvik will play at home against KR (#3) in Reykjavik and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Hafnarfjordur supposed to be also quite interesting. 4th placed Valur (5-6) played at the court of fifth ranked Haukar (4-7). Haukar did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 73-56 on Wednesday. It was a great evening for Siarre Evans who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 20 rebounds and 4 assists. Haukar's coach Bjarni Magnusson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gudbjorg Sverrisdottir responded with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Haukar maintains fifth place with 4-7 record. Valur lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. Haukar will meet bottom-ranked Fjolnir (#8) in the next round. Valur will play against Grindavik (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Grindavik was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Snaefell (9-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Grindavik (3-8). Snaefell managed to secure a 7-point victory 83-76. It was an exceptional evening for Hildur Sigurdardottir who led the winners and scored 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Snaefell. They maintain second place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Keflavik. Newly promoted Grindavik keeps the sixth position with eight games lost. Snaefell's next round opponent will be league's leader Keflavik at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Grindavik will play against Valur (#4) in Reykjavik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Haukar - Valur 73-56

Keflavik - Njardvik 84-54

Undefeated leader Keflavik delivered the eleventh consecutive victory. This time they crushed 7th ranked Njardvik (3-8) 84-54. The game was mostly controlled by Keflavik. Njardvik was better in fourth quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Keflavik dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Njardvik's 26 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Keflavik forced 19 Njardvik turnovers and outrebounded them 50-35 including 17 on the offensive glass. Forward Sara Run Hinriksdottir (165-96) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. The former international forward Birna Valgardsdottir (181-76) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Keflavik players scored in double figures. Grindavik - Snaefell 76-83

The game in Grindavik was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Snaefell (9-2) played at the court of 6th ranked Grindavik (3-8). Snaefell managed to secure a 7-point victory 83-76. Grindavik was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Snaefell made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Hildur Sigurdardottir (178-81) who led the winners and scored 28 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). American forward Kieraah Marlow (178-85) accounted for 22 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American guard Crystal Smith (168-84, college: Iowa) came up with 37 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the former international forward Petrunella Skuladottir (177-85) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Grindavik in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Snaefell. They maintain second place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Keflavik. Trailing 5 points at the end of the first period, Breidablik needed a strong come back to win the game 56-42. Isabella Osk Sigurthardottir stepped up with 21 points and 18 rebounds, while Sollilja Bjarnadottir added 13.
