   #1. This week's number one is an international point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern, currently plays in Sweden). He led Sundsvall Dragons to a victory over the tenth-ranked Eco Orebro (3-10) crushing them 108-82 in the Swedish Basketligan in Friday night's game. Sigurdarson was MVP of the game. He recorded 23 points and added 4 assists in 25 minutes on the court. Sundsvall Dragons (11-2) is placed first in the Basketligan. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. It's Sigurdarson's fourth season with the team. Sigurdarson is currently ninth on the league's list of top scorers with 16.7ppg. He also averaged so far 2.8rpg, 2.9apg, 2FGP: 57.4%(35-61), 3FGP: 42.3% and FT: 93.3%(42-45) in the 12 games he played so far. Sigurdarson is currently a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87, agency: I.D.S. Law, currently plays in Sweden). He was the main contributor in a Norrkoping Dolphins' victory against the ninth-ranked White Eagles (4-9) 61-50 in the Swedish Basketligan last Friday. Ermolinskij was the best player in that game. He recorded 12 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Norrkoping Dolphins (9-0) is placed first in the Basketligan. So far his team won all nine games in the Regular Season. Ermolinskij belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #7. He has very reliable stats this season: 11.2ppg, 6.3rpg, 4.3apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 50.8%, 3FGP: 35.1% and FT: 77.5%. Ermolinskij is in the roster of the Icelandic senior national team.

   #3. The Icelandic player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Jon Stefansson (196-82, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to an easy victory against the 12th-ranked FIATC Joventut (4-5) crushing them 77-57 in the Spanish ACB on Sunday night. Stefansson scored 8 points in 21 minutes. CAI Zaragoza (6-3) is placed fifth in the ACB. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Stefansson averages: 8.3ppg, 1.6rpg, 3FGP: 39.3% and FT: 83.3% in the nine games. He is also a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

   #4. Forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82, currently plays in Sweden) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jakob Sigurdarson and both played together in the last Swedish Basketligan game. Baeringsson contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Eco Orebro (3-10) crushing them 108-82. He recorded 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Baeringsson is currently second on the list of best rebounders. This season he has very good stats: 14.1ppg, 9.4rpg and 3.6apg. Baeringsson is also Icelandic national team player.

International point guard Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson (190-88, currently plays in Germany) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (3-7) crushing them 96-76 in the German BBL last Saturday. He recorded 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals in 23 minutes. Mitteldeutscher BC Weissenfels (3-8) is placed second from the bottom (#17) in the BBL. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. But the season just started, so everything may happen. This year Vilhjalmsson's overall stats are: 8.9ppg, 2.1rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg in the 11 games. He plays currently for the Icelandic national team.

   #6. Shooting guard Logi Gunnarsson (192-81, currently plays in France), who plays in the French NM1 (third division) could not help Angers BC 49 (4-4) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Gunnarsson's good performance Angers BC 49 was edged 75-73 at home by the higher-ranked La Rochelle (#7). He recorded 11 points and added 3 passes. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. It's Gunnarsson's first year with the team. Gunnarsson has relatively good stats this season: 12.1ppg, 2.6rpg and 2.6apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Icelandic National Team roster.

Former U20 international center Gudni Valentinusson (204-85, currently plays in Denmark) contributed to an Aarhus BC's victory against the closely-ranked Randers (3-10) 83-77 in the Danish Ligaen in Wednesday night's game. Valentinusson scored 8 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 21 minutes. Aarhus BC (5-7) is placed sixth in the Ligaen. This year Valentinusson's total stats are: 4.6ppg and 2.5rpg in the 10 games. He used to play for the Icelandic U20 national team seven years ago.

   #8. Guard Arnar Jonsson (183-83, currently plays in Denmark) is a teammate of previously mentioned Gudni Valentinusson and both played together in the last Danish Ligaen game. Jonsson managed to help Aarhus BC to win against the closely-ranked Randers (3-10) 83-77. He scored only 3 points and added 3 assists. Jonsson belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #6. He has averaged so far 7.3ppg, 3.1rpg, 5.1apg and 1.2spg. Jonsson used to play for the Icelandic national team back in 2006.

Grindavik - Thor Thorl 93-82 Grindavik shot down Thor Thorl to enter Dominos League semifinal stage. The game was mostly controlled by Grindavik. Thor Thorl managed to win third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grindavik dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Thor Thorl's 36. Valur - Breidablik 87-86 Valur held off Breidablik to advance into D1 Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Breidablik won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valur forced 19 Breidablik turnovers and outrebounded them 60-42 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Keflavik - Tindastoll 83-73 Keflavik outgunned Tindastoll to advance into the semifinal stage. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tindastoll's 18. They outrebounded Tindastoll 48-32 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds.
