Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Icelandic who are currently playing abroad.

   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Jon Stefansson (196-82, currently plays in Spain). He contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Unicaja Malaga (7-6) 82-64 in the Spanish ACB in Saturday night's game. Stefansson scored 10 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 22 minutes on the court. CAI Zaragoza (8-5) is placed sixth in the ACB. This year Stefansson averages: 8.2ppg, 2.2rpg, 1.3apg, 2FGP: 46.0%, 3FGP: 36.6% and FT: 88.9% in the 13 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87, agency: I.D.S. Law, currently plays in Sweden). Ermolinskij was the major contributor in a Norrkoping Dolphins' victory against the ninth-ranked KFUM Jamtland (5-13) crushing them 91-71 in the Swedish Basketligan last Friday. He scored 13 points, grabbed 8 boards, passed 6 assists and added 4 steals. Norrkoping Dolphins (13-1) is placed first in the Basketligan. Ermolinskij belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #3. He has very reliable stats this season: 10.7ppg, 6.3rpg, 4.6apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 51.9%, 3FGP: 38.3% and FT: 80.4%. Ermolinskij is in the roster of the Icelandic senior national team.

Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson

   #3. The Icelandic player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson (194-88, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German BBL. He could not help Mitteldeutscher BC (5-9) in their last game. Despite Vilhjalmsson's very good performance Mitteldeutscher BC was crushed 83-62 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#3) EWE Baskets. He was the second best scorer with 16 points. Vilhjalmsson also added 2 shots in 29 minutes. They ended the series of three consecutive victories. Vilhjalmsson has relatively good stats this year: 10.6ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.3apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 46.8%, 3FGP: 38.0% in the 14 games. He is also a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

Shooting guard Logi Gunnarsson (192-81, currently plays in France) led Angers BC 49 to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Saint Chamond (4-9) crushing them 85-50 in the French NM1 (third division) in Saturday night's game. Gunnarsson scored 12 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Angers BC 49 (5-7) is placed 11th in the NM1. It was his team's first victory after four consecutive loses. It's Gunnarsson's first season with the team. This year he has relatively solid stats: 11.8ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.8apg. Gunnarsson is also Icelandic national team player.

   #5. International small forward Axel Karason (194-83, currently plays in Denmark) was not able to help Vaerlose (5-8) in their game against Horsens IC (13-4) in the Danish Ligaen. He scored 8 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in 33 minutes. Vaerlose lost 77-89 in Horsens to the higher-ranked (#3) Horsens IC. It was Vaerlose's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Karason's overall stats are: 9.5ppg, 7.1rpg and 1.6apg in the 16 games. He plays currently for the Icelandic national team.

   #6. Guard Arnar Jonsson (183-83, currently plays in Denmark) was not able to secure a victory for Aarhus BC (5-11) in their game against Naestved (10-7) in the Danish Ligaen. Jonsson did not beat the league record on Wednesday evening. He scored only 3 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Aarhus BC was badly defeated 80-62 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Naestved (#5). It was Aarhus BC's fourth consecutive loss in a row. Jonsson's total stats this season are: 7.2ppg, 2.6rpg, 4.4apg and 1.3spg. He is a former international player as he played for the Icelandic senior team six years ago.

   #7. Former U20 international center Gudni Valentinusson (204-85, currently plays in Denmark) is a teammate of previously mentioned Arnar Jonsson and both played together in the last Danish Ligaen game. Valentinusson couldn't help Aarhus BC (5-11) in their game against Naestved (10-7). He cannot count it as his best performance. Valentinusson scored only 2 points in 8 minutes on the court. Aarhus BC was badly defeated 80-62 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked (#5) Naestved. This year Valentinusson's total stats are: 3.9ppg and 2.1rpg in the 14 games. He used to play for the Icelandic U20 national team seven years ago.

Grindavik - Thor Thorl 93-82 Grindavik shot down Thor Thorl to enter Dominos League semifinal stage. The game was mostly controlled by Grindavik. Thor Thorl managed to win third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grindavik dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Thor Thorl's 36. Valur - Breidablik 87-86 Valur held off Breidablik to advance into D1 Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Breidablik won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valur forced 19 Breidablik turnovers and outrebounded them 60-42 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds.
