Siarre Evans
American swingman Siarre Evans (178-G/F-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for Haukar, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 17 rebounds, while her team outclassed Njardvik (#7, 4-12) with 29-point margin 86-57. Haukar maintains the 5th position in Icelandic Express L.. Haukar is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-8 record. In the team's last game Evans had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. She turned to be Haukar's top player in her first season with the team. Former East Tennessee State University star has very solid stats this year. Evans. Evans is in league's top in points (4th best: 23.1ppg) and averages impressive 2.4spg.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old American Lele Hardy (182-SF-88, agency: Merit Sports) of Njardvik. Hardy had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Njardvik lost that game 57-86 to slightly higher-ranked Haukar (#5, 8-8). Njardvik managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Njardvik managed to get this year. Hardy is well-known at Njardvik and is a proven leader in her second season with the team. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.6ppg (#2). Her other stats are also decent: 18.8rpg and 4.3apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Kieraah Marlow (178-F-85) of league's second-best Snaefell. Marlow scored 16 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Snaefell, leading her team to a 67-60 win against the lower-ranked Fjolnir (#8, 2-14). Snaefell needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 4 lost games. Marlow has a great season in Iceland. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.0ppg (5th best), rebounds with 10.5rpg (3rd best) and assists with 3.6apg (9th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ragna Brynjarsdottir (188-C-90) of Valur - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Bryndis Gudmundsdottir (178-F-88) of Keflavik - 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Britney Jones (172-G-87) of Fjolnir - 36 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
