   #1. This week's number one is an international forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82, currently plays in Sweden). He led Sundsvall Dragons to a victory over the fifth-ranked Solna Vikings (13-8) crushing them 91-71 in the Swedish Basketligan in Friday night's game. Baeringsson was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 14 rebounds. Baeringsson also added 6 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals in 35 minutes on the court. Sundsvall Dragons (17-3) is placed first in the Basketligan. Baeringsson is currently first on the list of best rebounders with 10.3rpg. He also averaged so far 14.1ppg, 3.5apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 58.0%(87-150), 3FGP: 38.5% and FT: 73.9% in the 20 games he played so far. Baeringsson is currently a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87, agency: I.D.S. Law, currently plays in Sweden). He contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked Uppsala Basket (14-6) 80-65 in the Swedish Basketligan last Friday. Ermolinskij scored 7 points, grabbed 11 boards, handed out 10 passes and blocked 2 shots. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Norrkoping Dolphins (15-1) is placed first in the Basketligan. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Ermolinskij's first season with the team. Ermolinskij is currently third on the league's list of best passers. He has very reliable stats this season: 10.5ppg, 6.5rpg, 4.9apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 51.8%, 3FGP: 36.7%. Ermolinskij is in the roster of the Icelandic senior national team.

The Icelandic player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern, currently plays in Sweden) is a teammate of previously mentioned Hlynur Baeringsson and both played together in the last Swedish Basketligan game. Sigurdarson contributed to an easy victory against the fifth-ranked Solna Vikings (13-8) crushing them 91-71. He scored 14 points and added 3 passes in 31 minutes. Sigurdarson is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Sundsvall Dragons' roster. Sigurdarson belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #6 with 16.9ppg. This year his other stats are: 2.9rpg, 3.2apg, 2FGP: 53.6%, 3FGP: 40.5% and FT: 92.2%(71-77) in the 19 games. Sigurdarson is also a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

Guard Jon Stefansson (196-82, currently plays in Spain) managed to help CAI Zaragoza to win against the 16th-ranked Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (4-12) 79-74 in the Spanish ACB in Saturday night's game. He recorded only 2 points. CAI Zaragoza (10-6) is placed fifth in the ACB. This season Stefansson averages: 6.9ppg, 2.3rpg and 1.4apg. He is also Icelandic national team player.

International point guard Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson (194-88, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a Mitteldeutscher BC's victory against the closely-ranked s Oliver Baskets (7-9) 80-66 in the German BBL last Saturday. Vilhjalmsson scored 8 points in 17 minutes. Mitteldeutscher BC Weissenfels (7-10) is placed 14th in the BBL. Vilhjalmsson has relatively good stats this year: 10.4ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.2apg in the 17 games. He plays currently for the Icelandic national team.

Small forward Axel Karason (194-83, currently plays in Denmark) helped Vaerlose win their game against the closely-ranked Aarhus BC (5-13) crushing them 95-69 in the Danish Ligaen on Sunday night. Karason scored 17 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished 4 assists. Vaerlose BBK (6-8) is placed fifth in the Ligaen. They ended the series of three consecutive loses. Karason's overall stats this season are: 9.9ppg, 7.2rpg and 1.7apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Icelandic National Team roster.

   #7. International shooting guard Logi Gunnarsson (192-81, currently plays in France), who plays in the French NM1 (third division) could not help Angers BC 49 (5-8) in their last game. Despite Gunnarsson's very good performance Angers BC 49 was crushed 82-53 on the road by the much higher-ranked (#3) Souffelweyersheim. He was the top scorer with 15 points in 33 minutes. This year Gunnarsson has relatively solid stats: 12.1ppg, 2.8rpg and 2.8apg in the 13 games. He is also Icelandic national team player.

   #8. Center Gudni Valentinusson (204-85, currently plays in Denmark) was not able to help Aarhus BC (5-13) in their game against Svendborg (16-2) in the Danish Ligaen. Valentinusson scored 9 points. But Aarhus BC was crushed 83-61 on the opponent's court by the leading Svendborg. It was Aarhus BC's sixth consecutive loss in a row. Valentinusson's overall stats this season are: 4.1ppg and 2.2rpg. He used to play for the Icelandic U20 national team back in 2005.

Jonsson was not able to secure a victory for Aarhus BC (5-13) in their game against Svendborg (16-2). He scored 8 points and added 4 assists in 25 minutes. Aarhus BC was crushed 83-61 on the opponent's court by the leading Svendborg. This year Jonsson's overall stats are: 6.9ppg, 2.5rpg, 4.1apg and 1.1spg in the 15 games. He used to play for the Icelandic national team seven years ago.

Grindavik - Thor Thorl 93-82 Grindavik shot down Thor Thorl to enter Dominos League semifinal stage. The game was mostly controlled by Grindavik. Thor Thorl managed to win third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grindavik dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Thor Thorl's 36. Valur - Breidablik 87-86 Valur held off Breidablik to advance into D1 Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Breidablik won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valur forced 19 Breidablik turnovers and outrebounded them 60-42 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Keflavik - Tindastoll 83-73 Keflavik outgunned Tindastoll to advance into the semifinal stage. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Tindastoll's 18. They outrebounded Tindastoll 48-32 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds.
