   #1. This week's number one is an international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87, agency: I.D.S. Law, currently plays in Sweden). He led Norrkoping Dolphins to a victory over the closely-ranked Boras Basket (17-8) 99-92 in the Swedish Basketligan in Friday night's game. Ermolinskij was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 10 rebounds. Ermolinskij also added 8 assists in 33 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Norrkoping Dolphins (17-2) is placed second in the Basketligan. It's Ermolinskij's first season with the team. Ermolinskij is currently third on the list of best passers with 5.0apg. He also averaged so far 11.1ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 53.0%, 3FGP: 36.7% in the 20 games he played so far. Ermolinskij is currently a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82, currently plays in Sweden). He contributed to a Sundsvall Dragons' victory against the tenth-ranked White Eagles (5-19) 93-83 in the Swedish Basketligan last Friday. Baeringsson recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and getting 12 rebounds. He also added 5 assists. Sundsvall Dragons (21-3) is placed first in the Basketligan. It was his team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Baeringsson is currently second on the league's list of best rebounders. He has very reliable stats this season: 14.5ppg, 10.2rpg, 3.6apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 58.9%(106-180), 3FGP: 37.0% and FT: 77.2%. Baeringsson is in the roster of the Icelandic senior national team.

The Icelandic player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern, currently plays in Sweden) is a teammate of previously mentioned Hlynur Baeringsson and both played together in the last Swedish Basketligan game. Sigurdarson helped Sundsvall Dragons win their game against the tenth-ranked White Eagles (5-19) 93-83. He scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 31 minutes. Sigurdarson is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Sundsvall Dragons' roster. Sigurdarson belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #6 with 17.5ppg. This year his other stats are: 3.1rpg, 2.9apg, 2FGP: 50.3%, 3FGP: 36.7% and FT: 92.3%(96-104) in the 23 games. Sigurdarson is also a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

   #4. Shooting guard Logi Gunnarsson (192-81, currently plays in France), who plays in the French NM1 (third division) could not help Angers BC 49 (5-11) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Angers BC 49 was defeated 79-72 on the road by the higher-ranked Monaco (#6). Gunnarsson scored 12 points, had 5 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Gunnarsson has relatively good stats this season: 12.2ppg, 2.9rpg and 2.8apg. He is also Icelandic national team player.

International small forward Axel Karason (194-83, currently plays in Denmark) was not able to help Vaerlose (7-9) in their game against Bakken (16-5) in the Danish Ligaen, despite his good performance last Sunday. Karason was the second best scorer with 10 points. He also added 5 rebounds in 17 minutes. But Vaerlose was crushed 107-65 in Aarhus by the higher-ranked (#3) Bakken. This year Karason has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.7apg in the 21 games. He plays currently for the Icelandic national team.

Point guard Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson (194-88, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for Mitteldeutscher BC (8-11) in their game against Brose Baskets Bamberg (17-2) in the German BBL. Vilhjalmsson did not beat the league record on Saturday evening. He scored only 3 points. Mitteldeutscher BC was edged 58-56 in Bamberg by the leading Brose Baskets. Vilhjalmsson has reliable stats this season: 10.3ppg, 2.4rpg and 2.1apg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Icelandic National Team roster.

International small forward Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Assignia Manresa in a victory against the fifth-ranked G.Canaria 2014 (12-7) 75-65 in the Spanish ACB in Sunday night's game. Palsson recorded only 2 points in 8 minutes on the court. Assignia Manresa (4-15) is placed second from the bottom (#17) in the ACB. This year Palsson averages just 1.5ppg in the 17 games. He is also Icelandic national team player.

   #8. Center Gudni Valentinusson (204-85, currently plays in Denmark) couldn't help Aarhus BC (5-16) in their game against Horsholm (8-8) in the Danish Ligaen. Valentinusson cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points. Aarhus BC was edged in an overtime 81-78 at home by the higher-ranked Horsholm (#4). It was Aarhus BC's ninth consecutive loss in a row. Valentinusson's overall stats this season are: 3.8ppg and 2.1rpg. He used to play for the Icelandic U20 national team back in 2005.

But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Grindavik dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Thor Thorl's 36. Valur - Breidablik 87-86 Valur held off Breidablik to advance into D1 Finals. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Breidablik won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Valur forced 19 Breidablik turnovers and outrebounded them 60-42 including a 23-7 advantage in offensive rebounds.
