Aaron
Broussard
American Aaron Broussard (195-F-90) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Grindavik and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 22-year old forward had a double-double of 35 points and ten rebounds, while his team edged out Thor Thorl (#2, 10-4) 89-87. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Grindavik to jump to the first place in the Icelandic Express L.. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Grindavik has a very solid 11-3 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Broussard had a remarkable 59.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Grindavik's top player in his first season with the team. Seattle University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Broussard is in league's top in points (5th best: 23.8ppg) and averages solid 2.5spg and 52.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 23-year old American guard Jay Threatt (180-G-89, agency: Pro One Sports) of Snaefell. Threatt impressed basketball fans with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. It was enough for Snaefell to edge slightly lower-ranked Stjarnan (#4, 9-5) by 1 point 89-88. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Snaefell consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 10-4 record is not bad at all. Threatt is a newcomer at Snaefell and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was American guard Darrel Lewis (192-G-76, agency: Two Points) of Keflavik (#5). Lewis got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . He was a key player of Keflavik, leading his team to a 100-85 easy win against slightly lower-ranked KR (#6, 8-6). Keflavik needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 5 lost games. Lewis has a very solid season. In 14 games in Iceland he scored 19.3ppg. He also has 7.3rpg and FGP: 56.9%. Darrel Lewis has also Icelandic passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Carlos Medlock (183-G-87) of Skallagrimur - 40 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Marcus Van (201-F/C-85) of Njardvik - 20 points and 18 rebounds
6. Michael Craion (195-F-89) of Keflavik - 27 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Jarrid Frye (194-G/F-85) of Stjarnan - 27 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
8. Christopher Smith (204-PF-82) of Fjolnir - 23 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Roburt Sallie (196-G-86) of Tindastoll - 24 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Billy Baptist (196-F-87) of Keflavik - 21 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Dominos League Round 4 of Finals. Grindavik catch up with KR in championship series - 20 hours ago
Grindavik - KR 79-66 Grindavik rallied past KR at home court to even the title series at 2-2. The game was mostly controlled by Grindavik. KR managed to win third quarter 17-12.
