#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern, currently plays in Sweden) is a teammate of previously mentioned Hlynur Baeringsson. But that was another game of his team in Swedish Basketligan which we would like to mention. Sigurdarson, who plays in the Swedish Basketligan. He could not help Sundsvall Dragons (22-4) in their last game on Friday. Despite Sigurdarson's very good performance the league leader Sundsvall Dragons was defeated 81-76 on the road by the league outsider Nassjo (#12). He was the top scorer with 21 points. Sigurdarson also added 6 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). It's Sigurdarson's fourth season with the team. He belongs to league's top scorers and is ranked #5. Sigurdarson has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 17.7ppg, 3.2rpg, 2.8apg, 2FGP: 50.6%, 3FGP: 36.4% and FT: 92.2%(106-115). Sigurdarson is in the roster of the Icelandic senior national team.

Axel Karason

Karason had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 16 rebounds in 31 minutes. Vaerlose BBK (8-9) is placed fifth in the Ligaen. Karason has relatively good stats this year: 11.4ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 54.7%, 3FGP: 34.7% and FT: 61.7% in the 22 games. He is also a member of the Icelandic senior national team.
