Michael
Craion
23-year old forward Michael Craion (195-F-89) had a very impressive game in the last round for Keflavik and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had a double-double of 32 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat KFI (#9, 5-10) 111-102. Keflavik is placed at 4th position in Icelandic league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Keflavik will need more victories to improve their 10-5 record. Craion turned to be Keflavik's top player in his first season with the team. Oral Roberts University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Craion is in league's top in points (6th best: 22.6ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.5rpg) and averages solid 2.4bpg and 57.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Benjamin Smith (178-G-87) of league's second-best Thor Thorl. He is American guard in his first season at Thor Thorl. In the last game Smith recorded impressive 43 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. It was enough for Thor Thorl to edge the lower-ranked Stjarnan (#5, 9-6) by 5 points 105-100. This victory allowed Thor Thorl to move up to second position in the standings. His team's 11-4 record is not bad at all. Smith is a newcomer at Thor Thorl and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.6ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 5.6rpg and 5.7apg.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Jarrid Frye (194-G/F-85) of Stjarnan (#5). Frye got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds and four assists. Despite Frye's great performance Stjarnan lost 100-105 to the higher-ranked Thor Thorl (#2, 11-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Stjarnan needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 9 victories and 6 lost games. Frye has a very solid season. In 5 games in Iceland he scored 24.8ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Sammy Zeglinski (182-PG-88) of Grindavik - 30 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Jay Threatt (180-G-89) of Snaefell - 24 points, 4 rebounds and 11 assists
6. Damier Pitts (177-PG-89) of KFI - 37 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Valur Valsson (182-PG-94) of Keflavik - 26 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists
8. Tomas Tomasson (193-F-91) of Fjolnir - 32 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Nigel Moore (195-F/G-81) of Njardvik - 21 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists
10. Eric Palm (188-G-87) of IR - 26 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
