We bring you last week's top performances from Icelandic who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Jakob Sigurdarson
Jakob Sigurdarson
#1. This week's number one is an international point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern, currently plays in Sweden). He led Sundsvall Dragons to a victory over the eighth-ranked LF Basket (12-16) 89-83 in the Swedish Basketligan in Friday night's game. Sigurdarson was MVP of the game. He recorded 30 points (!!!), 4 rebounds and 6 assists in 38 minutes on the court. Sundsvall Dragons (25-4) is placed first in the Basketligan. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Sigurdarson's fourth season with the team. Sigurdarson is currently fifth on the list of top scorers with 18.5ppg. He also averaged so far 3.3rpg, 3.0apg, 2FGP: 52.2%, 3FGP: 38.6% and FT: 91.8%(123-134) in the 28 games he played so far. But that was another game of his team in Swedish Basketligan which we would like to mention. Baeringsson was the main contributor in a Sundsvall Dragons' victory against the ninth-ranked KFUM Jamtland (7-22) 108-90. He was the best player in that game. Baeringsson recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added and 3 steals. Sundsvall Dragons (25-4) is placed first in the Basketligan. It was his team's fourth consecutive victory in a row. Baeringsson is the league's best rebounder. He has very reliable stats this season: 14.4ppg, 10.4rpg, 3.5apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 58.6%(123-210) and FT: 73.3%. Baeringsson is in the roster of the Icelandic senior national team.

Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson
Hoerdur Vilhjalmsson

He could not help Mitteldeutscher BC (9-14) in their last game. Despite Vilhjalmsson's very good performance Mitteldeutscher BC lost 67-75 on the road to the much higher-ranked (#3) EWE Baskets. He was the top scorer with 21 points in 22 minutes. This year Vilhjalmsson averages: 9.7ppg, 2.3rpg, 2.1apg, 2FGP: 43.8%, 3FGP: 33.3% and FT: 76.2% in the 23 games.
