American guard Britney Jones (172-G-87) put on an amazing game in the last round for Fjolnir, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 52 points and 18 rebounds, while her team Fjolnir maintains the 8th position in Icelandic Express L.. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 19 games and recorded just three victories. In the team's last game Jones had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It's her second year at Fjolnir and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Former University of Alabama at Birmingham star has very solid stats this year. Jones is league's best scorer averaging so far 31.7ppg and is league's best passer with 6.0apg. Jones is in league's top in and averages impressive 2.5spg.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old American Lele Hardy (182-SF-88, agency: Merit Sports) of Njardvik. Hardy had a very good evening with a double-double of 30 points and 20 rebounds. It was enough for Njardvik to edge slightly lower-ranked Fjolnir (#8, 3-19) 94-89. Njardvik's 6th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-15 record. Hardy is well-known at Njardvik and is a proven leader in her second season with the team. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.8ppg (#2). Her other stats are also decent: 19.0rpg and 4.5apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American swingman Siarre Evans (178-G/F-88) of Haukar (#5). Evans showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, nineteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. She was a key player of Haukar, leading her team to a 67-58 win against the higher-ranked Keflavik (#1, 19-3). The chances of Haukar ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 12 games, recording just ten victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Evans could help Haukar to bring them higher in the standings. Evans has a great season in Iceland. After 22 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.4ppg (4th best), rebounds with 18.9rpg (2nd best) and assists with 3.6apg (8th best).

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Keflavik clinch Dominos League title - 2 days ago
Keflavik - Snaefell 70-50 Keflavik celebrated Dominos League title. They dethroned Snaefell beating those in four games of the title series. The game was mostly controlled by Keflavik. Snaefell managed to win second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Snaefell to just 3 points in fourth quarter. Snaefell - Keflavik 68-60 Snaefell topped visiting Keflavik to stay alive in the Dominos League Finals. Keflavik was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Snaefell made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Keflavik - Snaefell 67-61 Keflavik outgunned Snaefell to open 2-0 lead in the championship series. The game without a history. Keflavik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Keflavik made 12 blocks.
