Leader Hottur delivered the sixteenth win on Thursday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked FSU (6-12) 94-73 in Egilsstadir. Hottur looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Aaron Moss (185, college: Cabrini, agency: Duran International) who had a triple-double by scoring 30 points, 17 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Guard Ragnar Albertsson (190-93) chipped in 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Hottur's coach Vidar Hafsteinsson felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Terrance Motley (201-91, college: Sam Houston St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 21 rebounds for the guests. Hottur (16-1) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position. FSU at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Hottur are looking forward to face Hamar (#5) on the road in the next round. FSU will play against Vestri and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Armann's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Reykjavik to the arena Fjolnir.

Fjolnir's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Reykjavik Armann.

The winners were led by Orn Sigurdarson who scored that evening 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamar maintains fifth position with 7-10 record. IA at the other side keeps the eighth place with 13 games lost. Hamar's next round opponent will be league's leader Hottur in Egilsstadir and it may be quite challenging game.

The best stats of 20th round was 10 points and 10 rebounds by Snorri Vignisson of Breidablik.

Armann - Breidablik 73-92

Bottom-ranked Armann (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 92-73 loss to fourth ranked Breidablik (12-6) in Reykjavik. The game was mostly controlled by Breidablik. Armann was better in second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Armann was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Throstur Kristinsson (192-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points. American guard Tyrone Garland (185-92, college: La Salle) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists for the winners. Thorsteinn Hjorleifsson (-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and forward Brynjar Fridriksson (200-96) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Armann. Four Armann players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Breidablik maintains fourth position with 12-6 record. Armann at the other side still closes the standings. Breidablik will play against higher ranked Valur (#3) in Reykjavik in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Hamar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to IA's 32. They outrebounded IA 53-39 including a 41-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Orn Sigurdarson (202-89) who scored that evening 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American forward Chris Woods (195-89, college: Pfeiffer) supported him with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Four Hamar players scored in double figures. Even 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Derek Shouse (188-93, college: Mo.-St.Louis) did not help to save the game for IA.
