Aaron Moss
American Aaron Moss (185-G, agency: Duran International) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's leader Hottur and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com D1 Player of the Week award for round 20.
The guard recorded a triple-double of 30 points adding also seventeen rebounds and ten assists, while his team crushed FSU (#7, 6-12) with 21-point margin 94-73. It allowed Hottur to consolidate first place in the Icelandic D1. Hottur has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 16-1. Moss turned to be Hottur's top player in his first season with the team. Cabrini College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Moss is in league's top in points (5th best: 23.9ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 13.0rpg) and averages solid 3.2spg and 55.6% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old American forward Collin Pryor (200-F-90, agency: Mansfield and Associates) of second-ranked Fjolnir. Pryor impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 24 points and 19 rebounds. Of course he led Fjolnir to another comfortable win 86-68 over the lower-ranked Vestri (#6, 6-11) being unquestionably team leader. Fjolnir's second position in the standings has not changed. His team's 14-4 record is not bad at all. Pryor is well-known by Fjolnir fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.2ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 13.1rpg and 3.5apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Terrance Motley (201-F-91) of FSu (#7). Motley scored 21 points and grabbed twenty one rebounds (!!!). Despite Motley's great performance FSU lost 73-94 to the higher-ranked Hottur (#1, 16-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of FSU not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 12 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Motley could try to bring FSU's a little bit higher in the standings. Motley has individually a great season in Iceland. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 32.2ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 12.9rpg (4th best). He also has 2.1spg, 1.2bpg and FGP: 52.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Chris Woods (195-F-89) of Hamar - 23 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Orn Sigurdarson (202-F-89) of Hamar - 26 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Yima Chia-Kur (196-F-86) of Vestri - 20 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Ragnar Albertsson (190-G-93) of Hottur - 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Derek Shouse (188-G-93) of IA - 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Snorri Vignisson (193-F/G-97) of Breidablik - 10 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Nebojsa Knezevic (196-F/G-87) of Vestri - 12 points and 4 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
