Aaron Moss
Guard Aaron Moss (185-G, agency: Duran International) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's best team Hottur and receives a Eurobasket.com D1 Player of the Week award for round 21.
He had a double-double of 34 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Hamar (#5, 7-11) 104-98. It allowed Hottur to consolidate first place in the Icelandic D1. Hottur has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 17-1. In the team's last game Moss had a remarkable 55.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hottur's top player in his first season with the team. Cabrini College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Moss is in league's top in points (5th best: 24.5ppg), rebounds (4th best: 12.9rpg) and averages solid 3.2spg and 55.5% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Yima Chia-Kur (196-F-86) of Vestri. He is American forward in his first season at Vestri. In the last game Chia-Kur recorded impressive double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds. Of course Vestri cruised to a 80-70 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked FSU (#7, 6-13). Vestri's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-11 record. Chia-Kur is a newcomer at Vestri and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#7). He also registered 9.1 boards per game. Former Arkansas State University star Chia-Kur is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Marques Oliver (201-PF-91) of league's second-best Fjolnir. Oliver showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, six rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Fjolnir, leading his team to a 123-73 easy win against Armann (#9, 0-19). Fjolnir needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 15 victories and 4 lost games. Oliver has a very solid season. In 2 games in Iceland he scored 16.5ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Urald King (198-F-90) of Valur - 24 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Chris Woods (195-F-89) of Hamar - 30 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Mirko Virijevic (201-F-81) of Hottur - 36 points and 10 rebounds
7. Terrance Motley (201-F-91) of FSU - 23 points and 13 rebounds
8. Birgir Petursson (205-C-86) of Valur - 11 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Robert Sigurdsson (187-G-94) of Fjolnir - 17 points and 7 assists
10. Hinrik Gudbjartsson (185-PG-96) of Vestri - 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
