Hester
American Forward Antonio Hester (198-F-90) put on an amazing game in the last round for Tindastoll, receiving a Court Side Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 26-year old player had a double-double of 43 points and 11 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Snaefell (#12, 0-18) with 45-point margin 104-59. Tindastoll maintains the 3rd position in Icelandic Dominos League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Tindastoll will need more victories to improve their 12-5 record. In the team's last game Hester had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Tindastoll's top player in his first season with the team. Former Mobile University star has very solid stats this year. Hester is in league's top in points (5th best: 24.2ppg), rebounds (5th best: 11.3rpg) and averages impressive 1.1bpg and 63.0% FGP. Worth to mention Hester played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Amin Stevens (203-F-90) of Keflavik. Stevens had a very good evening with a double-double of 31 points and 20 rebounds. Of course he led Keflavik to another comfortable win 93-80 over the lower-ranked Skallagrimur (#10, 7-11) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Keflavik to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Stevens is a newcomer at Keflavik, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 30.0ppg (#2). He also registered 15.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-F/C-82) of league's second-best Stjarnan. Baeringsson showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, twelve rebounds (!!!) and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Stjarnan, leading his team to a 86-78 win against #4 ranked Thor Thorl in a game of the week. Stjarnan needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 4 lost games. Baeringsson has a great season in Iceland. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.9rpg (3rd best) and assists with 5.1apg (6th best). He also has 1.5bpg and FGP: 56.6%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tobin Carberry (193-G-91) of Thor Thorl - 30 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Matthias Sigurdarson (180-PG-94) of IR - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Petur Birgisson (185-G-96) of Tindastoll - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Tryggvi Hlinason (215-C-97) of Thor AK - 16 points and 12 rebounds
8. Sigtryggur Bjornsson (180-PG-93) of Skallagrimur - 23 points and 7 rebounds
9. Danero Thomas (196-F-86) of IR - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
10. George Beamon (193-G-91) of Thor AK - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Court Side. Court Side is the global leader in basketball management, and is widely regarded as the most dynamic and innovative company of its kind. It was the first Basketball Agency to launch its own website, and the first to have its own database. Court Side has more agents and manpower within its organization, than any other competitor, and its international network of basketball contacts is still unparalleled.
