Fjolnir - Hamar 88-76

Fjolnir fired past Hamar in the semifinal series opener. The game was mostly controlled by Fjolnir. Hamar was better in third quarter 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Hamar's players. American Marques Oliver (201-91, college: Delaware St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Robert Sigurdsson (187-94) chipped in 12 points and 6 assists. Five Fjolnir players scored in double figures. Fjolnir's coach Hjalti Vilhjalmsson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Chris Woods (195-89, college: Pfeiffer) responded with 28 points and 6 rebounds and guard Runar Erlingsson (187-89) scored 12 points.
