   #1. This week's number one is an international small forward Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland, currently plays in France). He could not help SPO Rouen (10-12) in their last game. Despite Palsson's very good performance SPO Rouen lost 75-87 on the road to the leading JL Bourg. He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 11 rebounds in 37 minutes on the court. It was SPO Rouen's first loss after four consecutive victories. It's Palsson's first season with the team. Palsson has relatively good stats this year: 12.3ppg, 5.2rpg, 3.8apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 39.8%, 3FGP: 40.7% and FT: 75.7% in 19 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Icelandic senior national team.

   #2. Second place goes to an international guard Elvar Fridriksson (183-94, college: LIU Brooklyn, currently plays in NCAA2). Fridriksson led Barry University to a victory against the Eckerd College (13-5) 91-87 in the NCAA2 last Saturday. He recorded 29 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. The Barry University has a solid 13-5 record this season. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA2 National Tournament Round 1. So now every game will be critical. Fridriksson has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.5ppg, 4.5rpg, 7.4apg, 1.4spg, 2FGP: 56.8%(96-169), 3FGP: 38.2% and FT: 87.0%. Ex-UMFN Njardvik player is in the roster of the Icelandic senior national team.

   #3. The Icelandic player who performed third best last week abroad was U20 international guard Jon Gudmundsson (193-96, currently plays college basketball in the States). Gudmundsson contributed to Davidson's victory against the La Salle University (9-9) 82-73 in the NCAA on Thursday night. He scored 16 points, had 4 rebounds and dished 7 assists in 34 minutes. The Davidson College has 8-10 conference record this season. The Regular Season already ended in the NCAA. This year Gudmundsson's overall stats are: 8.2ppg, 4.0rpg, 3.5apg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 52.4%, 3FGP: 32.7% and FT: 73.3% in 31 games. He is also a member of the Icelandic U20 national team.

Guard Martin Hermannsson (190-94, college: LIU Brooklyn, currently plays in France) was the major contributor in Charleville-Mezieres' victory against the closely-ranked ADA Blois (12-10) 88-70 in the French ProB (second division) in Saturday night's game. Hermannsson recorded 16 points and added 6 passes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. Etoile Charleville-Mezieres (13-9) is placed third in the ProB. This season Hermannsson has very high stats. He averages: 17.6ppg, 3.9rpg and 5.8apg. Hermannsson is also Icelandic national team player.

International point guard Aegir Steinarsson (185-91, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: Newberry, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an easy victory against the tenth-ranked Palma (14-13) 85-66 in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division) last Friday. He scored 9 points and added 4 assists in 22 minutes. San Pablo Inmobiliaria Miraflores Burgos (18-9) is placed second in the LEB Gold. This year Steinarsson's total stats are: 5.4ppg, 2.5rpg and 3.7apg in 27 games. He plays currently for the Icelandic national team.

Center Ragnar Nathanaelsson (218-91, currently plays in Spain) managed to help Arcos Albacete Basket to win against the closely-ranked Gandia (7-17) 89-87 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) on Sunday night. Nathanaelsson scored only 4 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Arcos Albacete Basket (6-18) is placed second from the bottom (#15) in the LEB Silver. They ended the series of eight consecutive loses. Nathanaelsson has averaged so far 4.0ppg and 4.9rpg. He is an international player who is currently on the senior Icelandic National Team roster.

Grindavik - KR 79-66 Grindavik rallied past KR at home court to even the title series at 2-2. The game was mostly controlled by Grindavik. KR managed to win third quarter 17-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
