The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets.

Superleague round 14 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader TM Hotel Cork (14-2) against third ranked DCU Mercy (12-2) 70-53 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of TM Hotel Cork. DCU Mercy forced 19 TM Hotel Cork turnovers. The former international forward Susanne Maguire (183-75) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Lindsay Peat (175-80) contributed with 20 points and 4 steals for the winners. The former international guard Claire Rockall (178-90, college: Iowa St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for TM Hotel Cork. DCU Mercy have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 12-2 record having just two points less than leader UL Aughinish. TM Hotel Cork at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by UL Aughinish. TM Hotel Cork will play next round against Peugeot Meteors trying to make it back to the top of the standings. DCU Mercy will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked UL Aughinish in Limerick.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked UL Aughinish as it allowed them to take a leadership position. UL Aughinish smashed 8th ranked Singleton in Limerick 91-61. Undefeated UL Aughinish (14-0) have an impressive 14-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Singleton lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. Singleton will play next round against Oblate Dynamos trying to get back on the winning streak. UL Aughinish will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked DCU Mercy at Dublin.
An interesting game for TM Hotel Cork (14-2) which hosted in Cork 4th ranked 11890 Killester (9-6). First ranked TM Hotel Cork managed to get a 9-point victory 57-48. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of 11890 Killester. Niamh Dwyer notched 19 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort. Even 14 points by Louise Gray did not help to save the game for 11890 Killester. 11890 Killester's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. TM Hotel Cork have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Despite that victory TM Hotel Cork went down to second position due to points difference. Loser 11890 Killester keeps the fourth place with six games lost. TM Hotel Cork will meet at home Peugeot Meteors (#5) in the next round. 11890 Killester will play against Liffey Celtics in Dublin and hope to secure a win.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Dublin: Peugeot Meteors (#5) and Liffey Celtics (#9). Peugeot Meteors (8-6) won against visiting Liffey Celtics (1-14) 65-57. Peugeot Meteors maintains fifth position with 8-6 record. Liffey Celtics lost twelfth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. In the last two games of round 14 Waterford W. beat Oblate Dynamos on the road 60-49. Liffey Celtics lost to Ulster Rockets on its own court 46-54.

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Waterford Wildcats (6-9) beat bottom-ranked Oblate Dynamos (1-14) in Dublin 60-49. Strangely Oblate Dynamos outrebounded Waterford Wildcats 54-28 including a 24-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Cathy Kavanagh (187-90) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. The former international center Niamh Mullally (180-84) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Georgina McKenna (163-80) produced 17 points and 4 assists and guard Lorraine Scully (176-83) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Oblate Dynamos' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Waterford Wildcats maintains seventh position with 6-9 record. Oblate Dynamos lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost. Waterford Wildcats' next round opponent will be higher ranked Ulster Rockets (#6) in Belfast and it may be quite challenging game.
