Danielle O'Leary had an amazing evening in the last round for Singleton and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 16.
The -year old had the game-high 34 points adding nine rebounds and two assists for Singleton in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Waterford W. (#6, 7-10) 82-79. Singleton maintains the 8th position in Irish Superleague. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. Singleton have already lost 12 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game O'Leary had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She turned to be Singleton's top player in her first season with the team. O'Leary has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 16.7ppg).

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old former international center Niamh Mullally (180-C-84) of Waterford W.. Mullally impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Waterford W. was edged by slightly lower-ranked Singleton (#8, 4-12) 82-79. Waterford W. managed to keep the same 6th spot in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-10 record. Mullally is one of the most experienced players at Waterford W. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.4ppg (#6). She also registered 7.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Canadian Rachel Vanderwal (176-G-83) of top-ranked UL Aughinish. Vanderwal scored 25 points. She was a key player of UL Aughinish, leading her team to a 87-31 easy win against the lower-ranked Meteors (#5, 8-8). UL Aughinish have amazing season winning all 16 games without a single defeat. Vanderwal turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Vanderwal has a great season in Ireland. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.8ppg (best scorer) and assists with 4.2apg (2nd best). She also has 2.8spg and FGP: 57.1%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tessa Solan (177-F-92) of Oblate Dynamos - 16 points and 13 rebounds
5. Loretta Maher) of UL Aughinish - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Jenny Coady (G-82) of Waterford W. - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Anna Pupin) of Liffey Celtics - 15 points and 8 rebounds
8. Shauna O'Connor (182-G-88) of DCU Mercy - 17 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Michelle Fahy (183-C-82) of UL Aughinish - 13 points and 3 rebounds
10. Christina Newton (180-C-90) of DCU Mercy - 12 points and 6 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
