Killester V University of Chicago:


Both Killester Men and Women Superleagues teams will face up to The University of Chicago at St Fintans gyn Sutton Dublin on September 18th next.The Ladies play the opening game at 7.p.m. with the Mens game at 8.45 p.m.

National League Fixtures 2012-13

The 2012-13 National League Basketball fixtures have been announced.

In the Nivea For Men's SuperLeague, newcomers Dublin Inter, previously known as Ballon Basketball Club, will host last season's beaten finalists DCU Saints in the opening game of the season at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght on Friday, September 28th.

Reigning champions UL Eagles face a tricky opening encounter away to Neptune, while Moycullen and Killester take on UCC Demons and UCD Marian respectively.

In the Nivea Women's SuperLeague, which starts on the weekend of October 6th, champions UL, who went the entire of last season unbeaten, welcome Killester to the UL Arena and beaten finalists Team Montenotte Hotel have a date with Meteors.

DCU Mercy make the trip to Ulster Rockets and WIT Wildcats face Liffey Celtics.

In Division One, it promises to be a memorable campaign with a number of new additions set to participate.

Donegal Town will now have a team in the Men's Division One campaign as well as their senior ladies participating in the women's equivalent. Dublin Thunder, who claimed the Men's Senior Cup crown last January, will also make their debut along with newcomers Cork's Fr Mathews.

Templeogue, who have built on their success at underage level, are also set for Division One, while Ulster Elks, who ended their stint in the Nivea For Men's SuperLeague at the end of the 2010-11 season, also return to the second tier of Irish basketball. As well as making the step up to the SuperLeague, Ballon will also feature a side in Division One competition.

In Basketball Ireland's Women's Division One campaign, Laois will be represented by Portlaoise Panthers, while Oblate Dynamos will be hoping the experience gained from playing in the Nivea Women's SuperLeague will stand to them when they get ready for action in October.

Super League top team - Templeogue (13-0) added another victory to their record on Sunday. This time they beat ninth ranked Eanna (3-10) in Dublin 82-74. Templeogue looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Eanna helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
