Loretta Maher had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best UL Aughinish and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 5. The -year old had a double-double of 22 points and eleven rebounds, while her team outclassed Ulster Rockets (#7, 1-4) with 43-point margin 76-33. UL Aughinish maintains the 2nd position in Irish Superleague. They maintain perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but UL Aughinish already had a very good start winning all 5 without losing a single one. It's Maher's second year at UL Aughinish and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Loretta Maher averages this season 10.8ppg and 6.0rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 30-year old American forward Meagan Hoffman (183-F-82) of league's best team DCU Mercy. She was another key player of UL Aughinish, helping her team with a 76-33 easy win against the lower-ranked Ulster Rockets (#7, 1-4). UL Aughinish started extremely well this year.
