The most important game in the last round took place in Dublin between third ranked DCU Saints (3-3) and fourth ranked B.Gais Neptune (3-3) on Sunday night. DCU Saints were defeated by B.Gais Neptune in a tough game at home 60-67. B.Gais Neptune forced 19 DCU Saints turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by DCU Saints' players. 25 personal fouls committed by DCU Saints helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Darren Townes (201-86, college: Hofstra) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Gerard Noonan (180-82) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Patrick Glover (193-77) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. DCU Saints' coach David Donnelly rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. B.Gais Neptune have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated DCU Saints. B.Gais Neptune is looking forward to face UCD Marian (#6) in Dublin in the next round. DCU Saints will play on the road against Moycullen in Galway and are hoping to win this game.

Salvador Camps contributed with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Moycullen's coach Salvador Camps allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward John Galvin (203-88, college: Fair Dickinson) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 21 rebounds and 5 blocks for UCD Marian. Moycullen left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Ballon Inter. It was UCD Marian's third loss in a row. They keep the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Killester. Moycullen will play against higher ranked DCU Saints (#4) in Dublin in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. UCD Marian will play on the road against B.Gais Neptune in Cork and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

UL Eagles' next round opponent will be Killester (#5) in Dublin. Ballon Inter will play at home against the league's leader UCC Demons in Cork.

The best stats of 6th round was 22 points and 13 rebounds by Kenton Walker II of UCC Demons.


UCC Demons - Killester 89-78

Undefeated leader UCC Demons delivered the sixth consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Killester (2-4) 89-78 in Cork. They outrebounded Killester 41-27 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when UCC Demons made 7 blocks. The former international forward Niall O'Reilly (196-80) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Australian forward Kenton Walker II (205-84, college: St.Mary's, CA) chipped in 22 points and 13 rebounds during the contest.
