American Patrick Sullivan (201-F) put on an amazing game in the last round for Moycullen and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The -year old forward had a double-double of 40 points and seventeen rebounds, while his team beat DCU Saints (#4, 3-4) 88-79. Moycullen is placed at 5th position in Irish Superleague. Moycullen is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-4 record. In the team's last game Sullivan had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Moycullen's top player in his first season with the team. Hamilton College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sullivan is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.4ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 12.6rpg) and averages solid 50.6% FGP and 46.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old American guard Robert Taylor (188-G-83) of second-ranked UL Eagles. Taylor impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he lead UL Eagles to another comfortable win 89-71 over the lower-ranked Killester (#6, 2-5) being unquestionably team leader. UL Eagles' second position in the standings has not changed. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 6 matches. Taylor is well-known by UL Eagles fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.8ppg (#2). He also recorded 4.3 assists per game. Rider University alumni Taylor played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was American John Galvin (203-F-88) of UCD Marian (#7). Galvin scored 19 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Galvin's great performance UCD Marian lost 55-64 to the higher-ranked B.Gais Neptune (#3, 4-3). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. UCD Marian can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 2-5 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Galvin he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Galvin has individually a great season in Ireland. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.0ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 17.3rpg (#1 in league). He also has 2.7bpg and FGP: 62.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Mindaugas Tamusauskas (203-F-83) of Ballon Inter - 28 points and 10 rebounds
5. Aurimas Statkus (201-F/C-81) of Ballon Inter - 23 points and 13 rebounds
6. Ciaran O'Sullivan (193-G-90) of UCC Demons - 27 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Michael McGinn (183-G-82) of B.Gais Neptune - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Patrick Glover (193-F-77) of DCU Saints - 23 points and 4 rebounds
9. Scott Kinevane (175-G-87) of UL Eagles - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Eoin Quill (198-G-81) of DCU Saints - 16 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
