Meteors Dublin Super-league Squad welcomed Team Montenotte Hotel Cork Glanmire on Saturday in Colaiste Iosagain for the second match up of the season between the two sides. Meteors Dublin were just coming off an impressive performance against DCU Mercy Dublin the previous week and were looking to build on that momentum going forwards.

Notebook: Team Montenotte Hotel Cork Glanmire 68, Meteors Dublin 57

THE FACTS: Niamh Dwyer (176-G-82, college: Monmouth) had a game high 30 points; Grainne Dwyer (F-84) added 22 points to her sisters tally. Team Montenotte Hotel Cork Glanmire are now 5 - 1.

Rebecca Nagle (173-F-92) led Meteors Dublin' scorers with 21 points, Beth Meany (168-G-90) added 14 points on 70% shooting from the field. Meteors Dublin are still looking for their first home win this season.

THE STAT: The Dwyer's shot an impressive 16 free-throws from 17 attempts. Grainne and Niamh were both aggressive attacking the basket and Niamh had 9 attempts from the line, missing only one shot.

HOT: Nagle was on top form again as she shot 50% from behind the arc. For Glanmire, it was the Grainne Dwyer who ended up with a double double of 22 points and 10 boards.

NOT: Jade Daly (91) wasn't her usual self offensively, finishing up with only point in the contest. She did, however, manage to grab some crucial boards when Meteors Dublin needed them, but some cheap fouls in the third quarter saw her play a cautious game. Meteors Dublin were also quite poor from the free-throw line failing to convert at crucial moments. They finished the game with 44% from the line.

GOOD MOVE: Kate McDaid (180-F-92) is back playing in the Super-league after taking last year out to play with the Regional League side. McDaid was aggressive on the boards and got to the free-throw line at will.

NOTABLE: Katie B. Kilbride (168-G-92) is back from injury and played key minutes against Team Montenotte Hotel Cork Glanmire. This is good news for Meteors Dublin as their bench was becoming thinner. Karen Meany (170-G-93) missed out on the contest as she was away with UCD at their freshers tournament in Carlow. K. Meany should be back for the Dublin side in next weekends contest. Finally, Indira Kaljo's long awaited debut with the super-league squad should take place next weekend when Meteors Dublin travel to Limerick to face the undefeated UL. This only serves to boost Meteors Dublin spirit.

NEXT UP: For Team Montenotte Hotel Cork Glanmire, they will host WIT Waterford Wildcats on Saturday in the Upper Glanmire Sports Centre. Tip off is set for 19:00. Meteors Dublin will travel to Limerick on Saturday 2nd December, to face UL in the UL Arena. Tip-off is set for 17:00.
