American forward Patrick Sullivan (201-F) had a great game in the last round for Moycullen, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 9.
The -year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds, while his team crushed Killester (#7, 3-7) with 21-point margin 79-58. Moycullen is placed at 4th position in Irish Superleague. Moycullen is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-5 record. In the team's last game Sullivan had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Moycullen's top player in his first season with the team. Former Hamilton College star has very solid stats this year. Sullivan is league's best scorer averaging so far 24.6ppg. Sullivan is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 13.0rpg) and averages impressive 56.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 24-year old American John Galvin (203-F-88) of UCD Marian. Galvin had a very good evening with a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as UCD Marian lost that game 64-74 to slightly lower-ranked Killester (#7, 3-7). This loss caused UCD Marian to drop to 6th position in . His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Galvin is a newcomer at UCD Marian, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.9ppg (#4). He also registered 17.4 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Moycullen's star - Spanish guard Salvador Camps (178-PG-79). Camps showcased his all-around game by recording 13 points, five rebounds and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Moycullen, helping his team with a 79-58 easy win against the lower-ranked Killester (#7, 3-7). The chances of Moycullen not to end season at such low position in , however are less than slim as they have already lost 5 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Camps could try to bring Moycullen's a little bit higher in the standings. Camps has individually a great season in Ireland. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 7.4apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Gerard Noonan (180-G-82) of B.Gais Neptune - 7 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists
5. Jason Killeen (211-C-85) of UL Eagles - 17 points and 14 rebounds
6. Lawrence Summers (175-PG-83) of Killester - 25 points and 4 rebounds
7. Patrick Glover (193-F-77) of DCU Saints - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Robert Taylor (188-G-83) of UL Eagles - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Scott Kinevane (175-G-87) of UL Eagles - 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Ian McLoughlin (185-F-85) of B.Gais Neptune - 21 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
