Tomica Bacic
25-year old guard Tomica Bacic (182-G-87) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked TM Hotel Cork and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 12.
She had a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds, while her team outclassed Singleton (#6, 4-6) with 30-point margin 91-61. TM Hotel Cork maintains the 2nd position in Irish Superleague. TM Hotel Cork has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 10-1. Bacic turned to be TM Hotel Cork's top player in her first season with the team. Tomica Bacic averages just after three games 23.3ppg and 11.3rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Cathy Kavanagh (187-G-90) of Waterford W.. She is former international guard in her 5th season at Waterford W.. In the last game Kavanagh recorded impressive double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Waterford W. was edged by the lower-ranked Meteors (#7, 4-8) 61-59. Waterford W. managed to keep the same 4th spot in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-7 record. Kavanagh is one of the most experienced players at Waterford W. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.1ppg (#7). She also registered 7.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Meagan Hoffman (183-F-82) of DCU Mercy (#3). Hoffman scored 20 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of DCU Mercy, leading her team to a 69-60 win against the lower-ranked Killester (#8, 3-9). DCU Mercy is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 8-2 record is not that bad... Hoffman has a great season in Ireland. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.3ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 10.6rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Grainne Dwyer (F-84) of TM Hotel Cork - 22 points and 8 rebounds
5. Niamh Dwyer (176-G-82) of TM Hotel Cork - 25 points and 5 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
