29-year old guard Rachel Vanderwal (176-G-83) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team UL Aughinish and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15. She had the game-high 38 points adding five rebounds and four assists for UL Aughinish in her team's victory, helping them to beat TM Hotel Cork (#2, 12-2) 93-78. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed UL Aughinish to take over top position in the Irish Superleague. UL Aughinish has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team's last game Vanderwal had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She has many years of experience at UL Aughinish, through which he has constantly improved. Boston University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Vanderwal is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.5ppg), assists (7th best: 2.9apg) and averages solid 3.2spg,56.3% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.
Second best performed player last round was Caroline Stewart (182-F-90) of Ulster Rockets. She is American forward in her first season at Ulster Rockets. In the last game Stewart recorded impressive 21 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she lead Ulster Rockets to another comfortable win outscoring Liffey Celtics (#9, 0-14) 61-34. Ulster Rockets' 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 7-6 record is not bad at all. Stewart is a newcomer at Ulster Rockets and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Meagan Hoffman (183-F-82) of DCU Mercy (#3). Hoffman scored 17 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of DCU Mercy, leading her team to a 78-65 easy win against the lower-ranked Singleton (#7, 4-9). DCU Mercy needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 3 lost games. Hoffman has a great season in Ireland. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.9ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 11.1rpg (#1 in league).

Grainne Dwyer (F-84) of TM Hotel Cork - 25 points and 4 rebounds 9. Becky Woods (88) of DCU Mercy - 13 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists 10. The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc. The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. Embutidos Pajariel Bembibre PDM (LFB) re-signed 26-year old Irish international guard Orla O'Reilly (182-90, college: Binghamton, agency: Josep and Nicolas). She has played there for the last three seasons. In 20 LFB games she averaged 7.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 1.0apg and 1.3spg last season. O'Reilly's team made it to the LFB Semifinals in 2014.
