Niamh
Mullally
Former international center Niamh Mullally (180-C-84) put on an amazing game in the last round for Waterford W., receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 17.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, while her team outclassed Killester (#8, 4-12) with 32-point margin 81-49. Waterford W. maintains the 5th position in Irish Superleague. Waterford W. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-8 record. Mullally has many years of experience at Waterford W., through which he has constantly improved. Niamh Mullally has solid league stats. She is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 9.6rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was another Waterford W.'s star - -year old American Terran Condrey (170-G). Condrey had a very good evening with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course together with Mullally she helped Waterford W. with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Killester (#8, 4-12) 81-49. Waterford W.'s 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 8-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Condrey is a newcomer at Waterford W., but is already one of team's top players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.0ppg (#5). Her other stats are also decent: 6.7rpg and 3.8apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Waterford W.'s star - former international guard Cathy Kavanagh (187-G-90). Kavanagh scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds. She was another key player of Waterford W., helping her team with a 81-49 easy win against the lower-ranked Killester (#8, 4-12). Waterford W. needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 8 lost games. Kavanagh has a great season in Ireland. After 15 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.9rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Tomica Bacic (182-G-87) of TM Hotel Cork - 19 points and 17 rebounds
5. Meagan Hoffman (183-F-82) of DCU Mercy - 10 points and 15 rebounds
6. Michelle Clarke (178-G-94) of Killester - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Jenny Coady (G-82) of Waterford W. - 12 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Rachel Clancy (175-G-88) of UL Aughinish - 18 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Aoife McDermott (185-91) of UL Aughinish - 15 points and 8 rebounds
10. Amy Waters) of Singleton - 4 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
