Experienced Grenadian Forward Michael Bonaparte (196-F-82) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's leader Templeogue and that's him to receive a Player of the Week award for round 12.
The 34-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and eleven rebounds, while his team crushed DCU Saints (#10, 3-9) with 23-point margin 98-75. It allowed Templeogue to consolidate first place in the Irish Super League. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is already in a full swing and Templeogue still have not lost a single game, getting all 12 victories. In the team's last game Bonaparte had a remarkable 64.3% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Templeogue and it's hard to imagine this team without him. College of the Ozarks graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bonaparte is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.5ppg), assists (4th best: 6.7apg) and averages solid 55.3% FGP and 45.2% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 36-year old American Brian Edwards (201-C/F-80) of KUBS. Edwards impressed basketball fans with 37 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as KUBS lost that game 81-87 to the higher-ranked Moycullen (#7, 5-7). KUBS is still in a red zone at 11th spot in the standings. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory KUBS managed to get this year. Edwards is well-known by KUBS fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.9ppg (#7). He also registered 8.6 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another KUBS's star - Kevin Foley (193-G/F-83). Foley showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, eleven rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. Despite Foley's great performance KUBS lost 81-87 to the higher-ranked Moycullen (#7, 5-7). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. KUBS can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Foley he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Foley has a very solid season. In 11 games in Ireland he scored 15.6ppg. He also has 8.4rpg and FGP: 52.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Martins Provizors (202-C-87) of DCU Saints - 24 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Jason Killeen (211-C-85) of Templeogue - 24 points and 9 rebounds
6. Adrian O'Sullivan (180-G-93) of UCC Demons - 25 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
7. Kyle Hosford (175-PG-89) of UCC Demons - 14 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Goran Pantovic (208-F-91) of Tralee - 16 points, 15 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Lorcan Murphy (182-PG-94) of Templeogue - 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jermaine Turner (195-F-74) of Killester - 12 points and 13 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
