We bring you last week's top performances from Irish who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

John Carroll
John Carroll
#1. This week's number one is former U16 international forward John Carroll (203-95, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA. He could not help the Hartford in their last game. Despite Carroll's very good performance the Hartford was badly defeated 84-68 on the road by the University of Maryland -Baltimore County. He scored 15 points in 23 minutes on the court. This year Carroll averages: 6.8ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 42.6%, 3FGP: 8.3% and FT: 56.8% in 16 games he played so far. He played for the Irish U16 national team six years ago.

Brian Fitzpatrick
Brian Fitzpatrick
#2. Second place goes to an international forward Brian Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: Bucknell, currently plays in Czech Republic). Fitzpatrick was not able to help one of league's weakest teams Prostejov in their game against USK Praha (8-10) in the Czech Republic NBL. He scored 6 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. It was his first game for Prostejov this season. Prostejov was crushed 96-69 in Praha by the higher-ranked USK Praha (#6). There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Fitzpatrick is a naturalized American. He is in the roster of the Irish senior national team. Strangely Fitzpatrick has never played in Ireland.

Paul Dick
Paul Dick
#3. The Irish player who performed third best last week abroad was an international guard Paul Dick (193-91, agency: Duran International, college: Franklin Pierce, currently plays in Spain). He was not able to secure a victory for Viten Getafe Fuenlabrada (1-12) in their last game. Despite Dick's very good performance the 15th-placed Viten Getafe Fuenlabrada (1-12) lost 75-81 to the higher-ranked (#13) Torrelodones in the Group B. He was the top scorer with 19 points. Dick also added 4 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 31 minutes. It was Viten Getafe Fuenlabrada's third consecutive loss in a row. It's Dick's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 10.3ppg, 2.4rpg, 2.3apg, 3FGP: 38.5% and FT: 78.9% in eight games. Dick is also a member of the Irish senior national team.

Aidan Quinn
Aidan Quinn
#4. Guard Aidan Quinn (185-95, currently plays in NAIA) couldn't help the Mayville State University in their game against the Bellevue University (3-1) in the NStar. He recorded 9 points. It was his first game for Mayville State University this season. Buthis team was crushed 84-48 in Bellevue, NE by the Bellevue University. Quinn is also Irish national team player.

The list of other players, who all have Irish passport but never been selected to any of Irish national teams:

#1. Experienced Mike Hall (203-F-84, agency: Interperformances, college: G.Washington, currently plays in Italy) could not help Angelico Biella (11-5) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the second-placed Angelico Biella (11-5) lost 68-74 on the road to the much lower-ranked (#9) Mens Sana 1871 in the West group. Hall had a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 17 rebounds in 37 minutes. It was Angelico Biella's third consecutive loss in a row. Hall has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 15.3ppg, 12.9rpg, 3.1apg and 1.5spg in 15 games he played so far. Hall is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in Ireland.

#2. Will Hanley (201-G/F-90, agency: Duran International, college: Bowdoin, currently plays in Spain) contributed to an CB Canarias' victory against the league outsider La ICL Manresa (2-13) 79-74 in the Spanish Liga Endesa last Sunday. Hanley recorded 8 points. Iberostar Tenerife CB Canarias (11-4) is placed fourth in the Liga Endesa. This season Hanley averages: 4.6ppg and 2.2rpg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely Hanley has never played in Ireland.

#3. Andrew James Ogilvy (211-C-88, college: Vanderbilt, currently plays in Australia) led Illawarra Hawks to an easy victory against the closely-ranked United (10-10) 106-88 in the Australian NBL on Saturday night. He had a double-double by scoring 12 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Ogilvy also added 6 assists in 27 minutes. Illawarra Hawks (11-10) are placed second in the NBL. It's Ogilvy's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 10.8ppg, 7.1rpg, 3.0apg, 1.5bpg and 1.2spg in 21 games. Ogilvy has a dual citizenship: Irish and Australian.

#4. Ian O'Leary (201-F-86, college: St.Mary's, CA, currently plays in EuroCup) led his Spanish team Baloncesto Fuenlabrada to a victory against the closely-ranked Gran Canaria (0-2) 85-75 in the Eurocup in Tuesday night's game. He scored 14 points. Montakit Fuenlabrada (1-1) is placed third in group E. There are only four games left until the end of the Eurocup Second Stage. So now every game will be critical. It's O'Leary's first season with the team. This year O'Leary averages: 6.6ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.4apg. He is a naturalized American. Strangely O'Leary has never played in Ireland.

#5. Patrick Carney (185-G-85, college: Chapman, currently plays in Germany) led Schalke to a victory over the fifth-ranked AstroStars (9-5) 86-77 in the German ProB (third division) last Saturday. He was MVP of the game. Carney scored 30 points (!!!) and added 5 passes. FC Schalke 04 (7-7) is placed sixth in North group. This season Carney has relatively solid stats: 12.9ppg, 2.7rpg and 3.4apg. He is a naturalized American. Apparently Carney has never played in Ireland.

#6. Ako Adams (188-G-97, currently plays college basketball in the States) was not able to help the Rice in their game against the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the NCAA. He cannot count Saturday's game as one of the best ones. Adams scored only 3 points in 12 minutes. His team lost 81-88. This year Adams' overall stats are: 2.2ppg and 1.3apg in 17 games.
