    Hapoel Jerusalem are crowned Winner League champions. They outgunned Maccabi Haifa in the Final tonight. The teams were tied at the half but Jerusalem managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American Jerome Dyson (191-87, college: Connecticut) stepped up and scored 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import point guard Curtis Jerrells (185-87, college: Baylor) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. At the losing side Venezuelan point guard Gregory Vargas (180-86, agency: Pro Sports) responded with 30 points and 6 assists and American-Mexican point guard Orlando Mendez-Valdez (183-86, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Pro Sports) scored 14 points.

    Maccabi Tel Aviv celebrated the State Cup title. They knocked down Hapoel Jerusalem at the Pais Arena tonight for the trophy. The win marked the eighth straight Cup success for Maccabi.
    Hapoel Jerusalem got to a better start. The hosts stayed in charge throughout the first half. Hapoel recorded a 24:20 lead ten minutes into the game. The hosts maintained the advantage in the second term. Hapoel registered a 47:42 halftime lead. But Maccabi turned things around in the third term. The Tel Aviv side held Hapoel to just 11 points and raced to a 4-point lead at the final break. Maccabi kept Hapoel at safe distance throughout the final quarter. Hapoel managed just 10 points in the fourth period and could not avoid the loss. Andrew Goudelock (190-G-88, college: Charleston) and Gal Mekel (190-PG-88, college: Wichita St., agency: BeoBasket) scored 15 points each to pace the winners. Devin Smith (196-G/F-83, college: Virginia) produced 13 points in the victory. Amare Stoudemire (208-F/C-82) responded with 15 points for Hapoel. Lior Eliyahu (205-F-85) tossed in 13 points in the losing effort.

    Hapoel Jerusalem conquered the first trophy of the season. They beat Maccabi Tel Aviv to claim the Winner Cup title. Curtis Jerrells (185-PG-87, college: Baylor) nailed 19 points to lead the winners.
    Hapoel jumped to a 24:13 lead after the opening quarter. Maccabi slowed their opponents down in the second term. The Tel Aviv team pulled within three points at halftime 38:35. Hapoel took over the initiative in the third term. The Jerusalem side held their opponents to just 12 points in the third quarter and opened a 62:47 lead. Hapoel Jerusalem kept Maccabi at bay throughout the fourth stanza and raced to the victory. Bar Timor (190-G-92) produced 13 points, while Tarence Kinsey (202-G/F-84, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 12 points for the winners. Sonny Weems (198-G/F-86, college: Arkansas) responded with 16 points for Maccabi. Maik Zirbes (208-C-90, agency: BeoBasket) had 13 points in the loss.

    Rest of the World selection claimed victory in today's All-Star Game. Amare Stoudemire (208-F/C-82) posted 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the winners. The forward was named the MVP.
    World eked out a 33:32 lead after the opening frame. The import players extended the lead in the second term. Rest of the World side accumulated a 70:57 halftime advantage. Rest of the World stretched the margin at 21-point mark heading into the fourth period. Israel selection unleashed 43 points in the final stanza but could not avoid the loss. Charles Thomas (203-F/C-86, college: Arkansas) and Nick Faust (198-G-93, college: Long Beach St.) accounted for 17 points each in the victory. Itay Segev (205-PF-95) answered with 20 points for Israel. Tamir Blatt (180-PG-97) produced 14 points in the loss.
