Dagan Yavzuri (193-G-85) will return to Galil Gilboa for the next season. The 24-year-old Israeli guard left the team from months ago and signed for Hapoel Holon, but they parted ways quickly. According to some sources the main reason is financial troubles. Anyway, Yavzuri is back to his old team signing a new two-year deal with them. Dagan Yavzuri joined Galil Gilboa during the summer 2008 from Gilboa/Afula/Migdal Haemek. He appeared 28 times in Premier league in their first season averaging 4.9 points and 1.3 rebounds. Galil Gilboa reached the Playoff Semifinals. Last season, Yavzuri improved his numbers to 6.7 ppg, 2.3 rpg and 1.1 apg in 25 games. Galil Gilboa made a great result as they won the championship title in Israel. Yavzuri got a call to join the Israeli National Team this summer. Dagan Yavzuri was named Eurobasket.com Israeli League All-Newcomers Team in 2008. At that time he was a member of Gilboa/Afula/Migdal Haemek. In 2007, Eurobasket awarded him with Eurobasket.com All-Israeli National League 2nd Team. He played for Hapoel Yokneam/Megido registering 17.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg and 2.1 apg in National League.

The former young forward of the New Jersey Nets and human highlight real, Sean Williams (208-F-86, college: Boston Coll.), signed today with Hapoel Migdal Jerusalem, Israel. Williams who played in China and Puerto Rico will arrive is Israel within the next few days and begin training with his new teammates.

He also knows Dion Dowell (198-G-85, college: Houston) who will play with him next season so that would make it easier on him. Williams played two and a half seasons as a professional for the New Jersey Nets and was a member of the 2008 NBA All-Star Rookie-Sophomore game before taking his career overseas.

In this past season in the ACB league, Eliyahu averaged 5.3 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. In the FIBA European qualifying games Eliyahu played much better as he averaged 13.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in 23 minutes of play. The Israeli national forward said after he signed: I'm very happy, even excited. I had an interesting experience this past season in Spain. I won the championship but deep down inside I wanted to return to Israel, to my home, Maccabi. I trust the coaching staff and look forward to playing again with the national players. The best Israeli players always play in Maccabi, I hope we win all the possible titles next season.
