J.J. Hickson
An intense emergency meeting this afternoon between Bnei Hasharon's management and J.J. Hickson resulted in a mutual agreement where Hickson would return to the US, leaving Tel-Aviv early tomorrow (Sunday) morning.

Hickson's Israeli adventure probably won't be remembered for the best. A delayed flight caused him to land without any suitcases, sending him on a quick trip to the shopping mall for some clothes and a pair of game shoes. After trying to fit in, Hickson decided Israel wasn't for him and turned to the management, asking for his release. The shocking request was eventually answered with a yes and Hikcson is expected to land in Atlanata on Monday. Hickson's only Israeli league experience includes a 119:80 blowout to Hapoel Holon, recording 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 turnovers in a 32-minutes losing effort.

Trevor Booker Returns?

On a positive note, Bnei Hasharon's first NBAer Trevor Booker, who left Israel (injury) without playing an official game, is successfully rehabbing with specialists in Dallas. Booker, who's been closely following his Israeli team from a distance, expressed great interest in returning to holy-land indicating that if all goes well, his comeback might be within the next two weeks. 'I'm in the process of rehabbing daily and getting back to my full strength.' Booker told Eurobasket adding, 'my focus is to get better and I'm really looking forward to reuniting with my Bnei family.' In response to Booker's possible return a team source said to Eurobasket, 'Booker's return depends only on the NBA lockout. We didn't terminate his contract, but simply put it on hold while he rehabs. If Booker wants to come back, we'll welcome him with open arms. He's an exceptional talented player, a great guy and a locker room favorite.'
